The good news for shareholders is that the company's shares are bouncing back on Thursday morning. In fact, the DroneShield share price was up 4% to 73 cents before being paused from trade. This put it among the best performers on the (ASX: XAO) index before the pause. Why are DroneShield's shares racing higher today? Today's gain was driven the release of an before the market open. According to the release, DroneShield has received a repeat order of $8.2 million from a major European military customer. The company advised that the order is for dismounted and vehicle-mounted counter-UxS systems. It expects to deliver the order over the next three months, including from available stock. The full cash payment is expected to be received during the first quarter of 2025. A recent note out of Bell Potter reveals that its analysts see a lot of value in DroneShield's shares at current levels. December 4 - The Colorado Avalanche and Carolina Hurricanes have something in common lately, and both teams are trying to shed recent labels. The teams have hit rough patches, making their meeting Thursday night in Raleigh, N.C., crucial for both sides. "I think we know we're in a little bit of funk here with our play," Carolina forward Eric Robinson said. The Hurricanes have lost three games in a row for the first time this season. Their 4-2 loss to visiting Seattle on Tuesday night came while putting just 19 shots on net, a low figure for the normally high-shot team. They had just seven shots through two periods. The old format was comprised of 32 teams from all over Europe. These teams then competed in a group stage, where eight groups with four teams each competed for the top two spots to progress to the round of 16 stage. After the group stage a draw would take place to decide who plays whom. The teams that came first would play the teams that came second, and they couldn’t play a team from their national league. From there the knockout stages would progress until ultimately a victor was crowned. From the quarter-final stage onwards, the tournament is the same, the round of 16 however works slightly different. In the new ‘league phase’ the top eight sides automatically progress to the round of 16. Teams who finish between ninth and 24th play each other in a two-legged knockout bout to see who qualifies for the round of 16. More Football Teams placed between ninth and 16th are the ‘seeded’ teams and the teams between 16th and 24th are unseeded. Simply, the seeded teams play the unseeded teams to see who makes the knockout stages, and the seeded teams play the second leg at home, which is advantageous. Now we are aware of the parameters of the tournament, what have we learnt so far? Currently Liverpool FC are sitting pretty at the summit of the league phase, having won all six games they have played.
