Bitcoin topped $98,000 for the first time Thursday, extending a streak of almost daily all-time highs since the U.S. presidential election. The cryptocurrency has rocketed more than 40% in just two weeks. Now, bitcoin is at the doorstep of $100,000 and investors do not appear to be fazed by gravity or any cautionary tales of the cryptocurrencies history of volatility. Cryptocurrencies and related investments like crypto exchange traded funds have rallied because the incoming Trump administration is expected to be more "crypto-friendly" than the outgoing Biden administration. As of 11:02 a.m. ET, bitcoin traded at $96,747 after rising as high as $98,349 according to CoinDesk. Yet cryptocurrency markets remain a wild place and what comes next is impossible to know. And while some are bullish, other experts are warning of investment risks. Here's what you need to know. Cryptocurrency has been around for a while now but have come under the spotlight in recent years. In basic terms, cryptocurrency is digital money. This kind of currency is designed to work through an online network without a central authority — meaning it's typically not backed by any government or banking institution — and transactions get recorded with technology called a blockchain. Bitcoin is the largest and oldest cryptocurrency, although other assets like Ethereum, Tether and Dogecoin have gained popularity over the years. Some investors see cryptocurrency as a "digital alternative" to traditional money — but it can be very volatile, with its price reliant on larger market conditions. Trump's election win boosts crypto A lot of the recent action has to do with the outcome of the U.S. election . President-elect Donald Trump, who was once critical of digital currencies, pledged during his campaign against Vice President Kamala Harris to make the U.S. the "crypto capital of the planet" and to create a bitcoin "strategic reserve." His campaign accepted donations in cryptocurrency and he courted fans at a bitcoin conference in July. He also launched World Liberty Financial, a new venture with family members to trade cryptocurrencies. Crypto industry players welcomed Trump's victory, in hopes that he would be able to push through legislative and regulatory changes that they've long lobbied for. Trump also had promised that, if elected, he would remove the chair of the Securities and Exchange Commission, Gary Gensler, who has been leading the U.S. government's crackdown on the crypto industry and repeatedly called for more oversight. Spot bitcoin ETFs Digital assets like bitcoin had posted notable gains in the months ahead of the election, mostly due to the early success of a new way to invest in the asset: spot bitcoin ETFs, which were approved by U.S. regulators in January. A spot bitcoin ETF allows investors to gain direct exposure to bitcoin without holding it. Unlike regular bitcoin ETFs, in which bitcoin futures contracts are the underlying asset, bitcoins are the underlying asset of a spot bitcoin ETF. Each spot bitcoin ETF is managed by a firm that issues shares of its own bitcoin holdings purchased through other holders or through an authorized cryptocurrency exchange . The shares are listed on a traditional stock exchange. Inflows into spot ETFs, "have been the dominant driver of Bitcoin returns from some time, and we expect this relationship to continue in the near-term," Citi analysts David Glass and Alex Saunders wrote in a research note two weeks ago. They added that spot crypto ETFs saw some of their largest inflows on record in the days following the election. Bitcoin volatility History shows you can lose money in crypto as quickly as you've made it. Long-term price behavior relies on larger market conditions. Trading continues at all hours, every day. At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, bitcoin stood at just over $5,000. Its price climbed to nearly $69,000 by November 2021, in a time marked by high demand for technology assets. Bitcoin later crashed during an aggressive series of Federal Reserve rate hikes aimed at curbing inflation. The collapse of FTX in late 2022 significantly undermined confidence in crypto overall and bitcoin fell below $17,000. Investors began returning in large numbers as inflation started to cool — and gains skyrocketed on the anticipation and then early success of spot ETFs. Experts still stress caution, especially for small-pocketed investors. How bitcoin mining works Assets like bitcoin are produced through a process called "mining," which consumes a lot of energy. And operations relying on pollutive sources have drawn particular concern over the years. Recent research published by the United Nations University and Earth's Future journal found that the carbon footprint of 2020-2021 bitcoin mining across 76 nations was equivalent to the emissions from burning 84 billion pounds of coal or running 190 natural gas-fired power plants. Coal satisfied the bulk of bitcoin's electricity demands (45%), followed by natural gas (21%) and hydropower (16%). Cryptocurrency is making lots of noise, literally Environmental impacts of bitcoin mining boil largely down to the energy source used. Industry analysts have maintained that clean energy has increased in use in recent years, coinciding with rising calls for climate protections. Finnish green tech company Langh Tech expands its portfolio of exhaust gas treatment solutions for ships by an innovative system for onboard carbon capture (OCC). Langh Tech’s OCC system supports customers in their decarbonisation journey by reducing CO2 emissions from ship operation. A unique feature of the system is the possibility to sell and utilize the sodium carbonate, which results at the end of the chemical process, for diverse applications in other industries. Thus, Langh Tech combines the environmental benefits of decarbonisation with creating additional value by selling and utilizing the waste product, which marks a significant contribution to creating a circular economy. A pilot project with an OCC installation onboard of one ship of sister company Langh Ship was successfully run in test-mode during 2024. The pilot plant has shown that it is possible to capture rates over 80 percent from the exhaust gas flow coming into the system. The overall CO2-emissions can be reduced at least by 20 to 30 percent, depending on the available space, and other ship and product specifications. The first commercial installations will take place early in 2025 onboard of four bulk carriers. Langh Tech has sold the OCC components to Damen Shipyards Group, who will do the installation on the bulk carriers. The ships will be equipped with a hybrid scrubber and an additional onboard carbon capture system from Langh Tech. Rutger van Dam, Business Development Manager of Damen Shipyards Group explains:” The decision to choose Langh Tech was simple. CO2 capturing is the only economic way to drastically reduce emissions as of now. My main concern was the value of the CO2 end product being created onboard the ship. Langh Tech delivered on every front: a high capture rate, a high-value CO2 end product, and a significant reduction in emissions. From a commercial perspective, it made perfect sense. On a personal note, we share the same vision and goal: to greenify the global fleet. That alignment made Langh Tech the natural choice.” The installations by Langh Tech are part of a project between Atal Solutions, BAM Shipping and Damen Shipyards Group. It aims at retrofitting ships with different technologies and to reduce fuel consumption to achieve a maximum reduction in CO2, SOx, and NOx emissions, while using traditional fuels. The ultimate project goal is to bring CO2 emissions down by up to 60 percent with onboard carbon capture. This could be achieved through the continuous development of the system itself, as well as optimizing other limiting factors, such as installation size and onboard space, ship efficiency, loading and operations, or voyage planning. “This partnership with Damen Shipyard Group and Langh Tech showcases how innovative collaboration drives meaningful change. Atal’s vision and willingness to embrace bold solutions demonstrate how we can address the challenges of decarbonization while unlocking economic and environmental benefits for the maritime sector. By investing in Langh Tech’s onboard carbon capture technology, we’re not just setting a new benchmark for sustainable shipping—we’re also paving the way for future projects and ongoing transformation in the industry. It’s a big leap, but one that aligns with our shared commitment to building a more sustainable future”, says Edwin Sieswerda, Founder and CEO of Atal Solutions. Carbon capture is emerging as a key technology in the transition of shipping towards net-zero as it provides a cost-effective addition to other decarbonisation options. Langh Tech is one of the first movers within the industry. “Our onboard carbon capture solution gives shipowners and operators the possibility to decarbonize and balance their costs. The scarcity and significantly higher costs of carbon-neutral fuels are a substantial hurdle to the decarbonisation of shipping. It will take time until those fuels can be widely used and afforded. We are here to bridge this gap and help companies to decarbonize efficiently and according to their abilities”, says Laura Langh-Lagerlöf, Commercial Director of Langh Tech. “At the same time, it is important to emphasize that the captured CO2 can also be used in the production of biofuels and synthetic fuels. Thus, our technology – if applied smartly – contributes to a green-fuel transition by setting up a circular economy.” Langh Tech’s onboard carbon capture system is based on the long-standing experience of the company in exhaust gas treatment and applies a post-combustion technique. In short, the ship’s exhaust gases containing CO2 are directed into a capture unit. CO2 dissolves into the liquid phase through counter-currently flowing aqueous NaOH solution. A maximized surface area ensures highest possible carbon capture rates. As a result of several consecutive reactions, CO2 is chemically bound into a thermodynamically stable product of sodium carbonate. Langh Tech’s Onboard Carbon Capture system: sustainable life-cycle approach Throughout the whole development process of its onboard carbon capture-system, Langh Tech followed a circular approach. The system does not only reduce emissions but utilises the waste product. This creates monetary value and avoids and reduces emissions in the value chain of other industries. In comparison to other carbon capture technologies, which are mostly based on amines, Langh Tech’s onboard carbon capture system has noteworthy advantages: 1. Value creation and circular economy approach: Sodium carbonate, the solid product, which results in the end of the OCC process, can be turned into value. It can easily be marketed as it is widely applied as a key ingredient by various other industries, for example in the manufacturing of glass and detergents. 2. Less consumption of energy and other resources: With Langh Tech’s post-combustion capture, there is no need for solvent regeneration or CO2 compression, which significantly reduces the additional energy consumption onboard, as well as the resources needed to operate the OCC system. No additional specialized equipment is needed. In turn, the capture reagent, sodium hydroxide, can be produced by electrolysis of sodium chloride using renewable energy. This ensures minimized emissions and sustainability over the whole lifecycle. 3. Simple and safe operations: Langh Tech’s OCC system allows simple operation processes which do not require new specialized equipment. The used chemical is already applied and established in the maritime industry. The sodium carbonate can be collected in containers and be easily transported. 4. Customizable and scalable solutions: Langh Tech’s OCC systems are designed with flexibility in mind. They can be adapted and scaled according to the specific needs of each vessel. This approach ensures a seamless integration of the technology into the existing ship infrastructure, offering a practical solution for a wide range of ship types. Source: Langh Tech

Edwards was activated from injured reserve earlier this month following an ankle injury and had nine carries for 11 yards with a touchdown in Monday night's 30-23 loss to Baltimore. Falcons player to watch WR Drake London has 61 catches, leaving him four away from becoming the first player in team history to have at least 65 receptions in each of his first three seasons. London has 710 receiving yards, leaving him 140 away from becoming the first player in team history with at least 850 in each of his first three seasons. Key matchup Falcons RB Bijan Robinson vs. Chargers run defense. Robinson was shut down by Denver, gaining only 35 yards on 12 carries, and the Atlanta offense couldn't recover. The Chargers rank 10th in the league against the run, so it will be a challenge for the Falcons to find a way to establish a ground game with Robinson and Tyler Allgeier. A solid running attack would create an opportunity for offensive coordinator Zac Robinson to establish the play-action passes for quarterback Kirk Cousins. Key injuries Dobbins appeared to injure his right knee in the first half of the loss to the Ravens, though coach Jim Harbaugh did not provide details. ... The Falcons needed the bye to give a long list of injured players an opportunity to heal. WR WR KhaDarel Hodge (neck) did not practice on Wednesday. WR Darnell Mooney (Achilles), CB Kevin King (concussion), DL Zach Harrison (knee, Achilles) and WR Casey Washington (concussion) were hurt in the 38-6 loss at Denver on Nov. 17 and were limited on Wednesday. Los Angeles took a 33-30 overtime win in Atlanta in 2016 before the Chargers added 20-17 wins at home in 2020 and in Atlanta in 2022. The Falcons won the first meeting between the teams, 41-0 in San Diego in 1973. Stats and stuff Each team has built its record on success against the soft NFC South. Atlanta is 4-1 against division rivals. Los Angeles is 2-0 against the NFC South this season. The Chargers have a four-game winning streak against the division. ... Atlanta is 0-2 against AFC West teams, following a 22-17 loss to Kansas City and the lopsided loss at Denver. They will complete their tour of the AFC West with a game at the Las Vegas Raiders on Dec. 16. ... The Falcons are the league's only first-place team with a negative points differential. Atlanta has been outscored 274-244. Fantasy tip The loss of Dobbins, who has rushed for eight touchdowns, could put more pressure on QB Justin Hebert and the passing game. Herbert's favorite option has been WR Ladd McConkey, who has four TD receptions among his 49 catches for 698 yards. McConkey, the former University of Georgia standout who was drafted in the second round, could enjoy a productive return to the state against a Falcons defense that ranks only 26th against the pass. ___ AP NFL: https://apnews.com/hub/nfl The Associated Press See a typo/mistake? Netflix Inc. stock underperforms Tuesday when compared to competitors

ALTOONA, Pa. (AP) — The man accused of killing UnitedHealthcare’s CEO struggled with deputies and shouted while being led into court Tuesday as new details emerged about his possible motivation behind the ambush. In his first public words since a five-day search ended with his arrest at a McDonald's in Pennsylvania, Luigi Nicholas Mangione emerged from a patrol car shouting about an “insult to the intelligence of the American people” while deputies pushed him inside a courthouse. The 26-year-old Ivy League graduate from a prominent Maryland real estate family is fighting attempts to extradite him to New York so that he can face a murder charge in the Manhattan killing of Brian Thompson , who led the United States’ largest medical insurance company. A law enforcement bulletin obtained by The Associated Press said that at the time of his arrest, Mangione was carrying a handwritten document expressing anger with what he called “parasitic” health insurance companies and a disdain for corporate greed and power. He wrote that the U.S. has the most expensive health care system in the world and that profits of major corporations continue to rise while “our life expectancy” does not, according to the bulletin. In social media posts, Mangione called “Unabomber” Ted Kaczynski — who carried out a series of bombings while railing against modern society and technology — a “political revolutionary,” according to the police bulletin. Mangione remained jailed in Pennsylvania, where he was initially charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm, forgery and providing false identification to police. Manhattan prosecutors were beginning to take steps to bring Mangione to New York, but at a brief hearing Tuesday, defense lawyer Thomas Dickey said his client will not waive extradition and instead wants a hearing on the issue. Mangione was denied bail after prosecutors said he was too dangerous to be released. He mostly stared straight ahead at the hearing, occasionally looking at papers, rocking in his chair or looking back at the gallery. At one point, he began to speak to respond to the court discussion but was quieted by his lawyer. “You can’t rush to judgment in this case or any case,” Dickey said afterward. “He’s presumed innocent. Let’s not forget that.” Mangione was arrested in Altoona, Pennsylvania, about 230 miles (about 370 kilometers) west of New York City, after a McDonald’s customer recognized him and notified an employee, authorities said. Images of Mangione released Tuesday by Pennsylvania State Police showed him pulling down his mask in the corner of the McDonald's while holding what appeared to be hash browns and wearing a winter jacket and beanie. In another photo from a holding cell, he stood unsmiling with rumpled hair. New York police officials have said Mangione was carrying a gun like the one used to kill Thompson and the same fake ID the shooter had used to check into a New York hostel, along with a passport and other fraudulent IDs. A law enforcement official who wasn’t authorized to discuss the investigation publicly and spoke with The Associated Press on condition of anonymity said a three-page, handwritten document found with Mangione included a line in which he claimed to have acted alone. “To the Feds, I’ll keep this short, because I do respect what you do for our country. To save you a lengthy investigation, I state plainly that I wasn’t working with anyone,” the document said, according to the official. It also said, “I do apologize for any strife or traumas but it had to be done. Frankly, these parasites simply had it coming.” Thompson, 50, was killed last Wednesday as he walked alone to a Manhattan hotel for an investor conference. From surveillance video, New York investigators determined the shooter quickly fled the city, likely by bus. Mangione was born into a life of country clubs and privilege. His grandfather was a self-made real estate developer and philanthropist. Valedictorian at his elite Baltimore prep school, he went on to earn undergraduate and graduate degrees in computer science in 2020 from the University of Pennsylvania, a spokesperson said. “Our family is shocked and devastated by Luigi’s arrest,” Mangione’s family said in a statement posted on social media late Monday by his cousin, Maryland Del. Nino Mangione. “We offer our prayers to the family of Brian Thompson and we ask people to pray for all involved.” From January to June 2022, Luigi Mangione lived at Surfbreak, a “co-living” space at the edge of touristy Waikiki in Honolulu. Like other residents of the shared penthouse catering to remote workers, Mangione underwent a background check, said Josiah Ryan, a spokesperson for owner and founder R.J. Martin. “Luigi was just widely considered to be a great guy. There were no complaints,” Ryan said. "There was no sign that might point to these alleged crimes they’re saying he committed.” At Surfbreak, Martin learned Mangione had severe back pain from childhood that interfered with many aspects of his life, from surfing to romance, Ryan said. Mangione left Surfbreak to get surgery on the mainland, Ryan said, then later returned to Honolulu and rented an apartment. Martin stopped hearing from Mangione six months to a year ago. ___ Scolforo reported from Altoona and Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania. Game Bar provides interfaces for capturing screenshots and video clips, interacting with your friends on Xbox Live, viewing key PC performance metrics, and more. Where did it go? Game Bar was previously called Xbox Game Bar, but Microsoft renamed it to indicate that it's not limited to Xbox games, but works similarly with PC games acquired elsewhere, like Epic Games and Steam. You summon the Game Bar by pressing the white and lighted Xbox button in the center of your Xbox Wireless Controller while you are playing a game. Game Bar consists of the Home Bar--a toolbar-like main window, centered at the top of the screen--and several sub-windows, called widgets, each of which offers specific functionality. Game Bar appears over whatever game you're playing at the time, and it works like a toggle: You can press the Xbox button--or the "(B)" button--on your controller again to hide it. If you game using a keyboard and mouse, you can type WINKEY + G to toggle the Game Bar on and off instead. You can also click with the mouse outside of the Game Bar windows to hide it. Get to know the Home Bar The Home Bar in Game Bar is essentially a floating toolbar that offers several buttons and a few non-interactive icons in a single horizontal line. The Saints pretty much haven’t seen a lead in a game for three straight. The losing ways continued on Tuesday when Jacksonville took an 8-0 lead to start the game and stayed in command the rest of the way in a 75-64 victory in the third-place game of the Palms Division of the Fort Myers Tip-Off at Suncoast Credit Union Arena in Fort Myers, Florida. Sparked by freshman Gavin Doty and Tajae Jones, the Saints (3-4) did well to chop into a 20-point deficit with 7:56 left to pull within six with 2:56 left, but that was as close as they’d get. After starting the season 3-0 under new head coach Gerry McNamara, Siena was in position to equal the win total of the entire disastrous 2023-24 season, but is still waiting for that. In the Fort Myers Tip-Off, the Saints lost an on-campus site game at Xavier last week in which Siena led 5-3 in the opening moments, but they trailed from there and never had a lead in losses to Miami (Ohio) on Monday and to Jacksonville once they relocated to Florida. “We played 80 minutes down here, 60 were terrible,” McNamara said. “We finally put together a stretch where we played some unselfish basketball. “I hope I can take the last 20 minutes with the group that I know we can be, which is a group that plays in space and plays together, eight assists and four turnovers in the second half, and we’re making each other better.” Doty finished with 21 points and six rebounds, after having scored a total of 12 points in the first six games. He averaged 28.3 points, 12.8 rebounds, 7.5 assists and 3.2 per game as a senior for Fulton High School of Section 3, northwest of Syracuse. He started the comeback run with a 3-pointer, Jones scored five points and blocked a shot and Major Freeman made back-to-back 3-pointers, the second of which got Siena within 68-62 with 2:56 left. “I thought I played well, but 21 points in a loss is never a happy night,” Doty said. “I’d rather have five points in a loss.” “We got behind early, but I knew what I had to do to impact the game, whether it was go get a rebound, dive on the floor ... just put myself on the line,” Jones said. “Those guys fight,” McNamara said. “It’s as simple as that. The way Gavin was playing, he brought a different energy level of what it was going to take to claw back into the game. “Taj was no different. Came in and made some plays in a short role. I saw it all summer. Tajae Jones’ rebounds per 40 minutes, the kid’s remarkable. Two guys that go after the basketball. They play to win. I wanted toughness on the court, so I went with my toughest group.” The comeback petered out after that. Robert McCray, who scored 21 points in 29 minutes on 3-for-5 from 3-point range and 8-16 from the field, stopped Siena’s run with a jumper for a 70-62 lead with 1:56 left, then Reid Ducharme missed a 3 for Siena.Biden administration to loan $6.6B to EV maker Rivian to build Georgia factory that automaker paused

NoneThe Saints pretty much haven’t seen a lead in a game for three straight. Gophers women’s basketball gameday 7 p.m., Wednesday vs. Jackson State, at Williams Arena Streamed: BTN+ Radio: 96.7-FM Gophers update: The Gophers (10-1) return home after a lopsided loss against a ranked team in Nebraska to play the first of two final nonconference games of the season. The Gophers are coming off an 84-65 loss to the Huskers , a game in which the Gophers matched a season low in points scored while allowing the most points (84), best overall shooting (51.1%) and most rebounds (49) by an opponent. The Gophers non-Big Ten slate has perhaps not been enough of a test for the Gophers. By the time Minnesota finishes up nonconference play against Prairie View A&M on Friday, the 12 nonconference foes will have an average net ranking of 239.8 in a women’s Division I field that has 360 teams. Mallory Heyer is coming off a 12-point, eight-rebound game at Nebraska. Freshman Tori McKinney has scored in double figures in five of six starts since taking over for the injured Mara Braun. Grace Grocholski has scored in double figures in six straight games for the Gophers., who have a 37 net ranking. Jackson State update: The Tigers (1-7) have lost six straight and have a 304 net ranking. The Mississippi school is scoring just 52.1 points per game, shooting 33.7% and 26.1% on three-pointers. The Tigers are averaging 21.4 turnovers and allowing 23.3 points off turnovers per game. Senior guard Taleah Dilworth (13.9) is the only player averaging in double figures in scoring.

EDITOR'S NOTE: On Football analyzes the biggest topics in the NFL from week to week. The Philadelphia Eagles have to make sure they don’t beat themselves. A nine-game winning streak helped the Eagles (11-2) clinch their fourth consecutive playoff berth. They’re seeking an NFC East title and still have a chance at catching Detroit (12-1) for the NFC’s No. 1 seed. But an ugly win over Carolina in which Jalen Hurts only threw 21 passes for 108 yards left wide receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith in a bad mood. He made it clear the offense, specifically the passing attack, wasn’t playing up to standard. He’s right. Hurts has thrown for fewer than 200 yards in three straight games. But Saquon Barkley is running at a record-setting pace so the Eagles haven’t had to rely on Hurts throwing to Brown and Smith as much as they have in the past. Brown caught four passes on four targets for 43 yards while Smith had four catches on six targets for 37 yards and one touchdown against the Panthers. That led to Brown bluntly responding “passing” when asked by a reporter after the game what needs improvement. Veteran leader Brandon Graham added fuel to the drama on his radio show Monday night by implying there’s friction between Brown and Hurts. The two were close friends long before they became teammates and Hurts is the godfather for Brown’s daughter. “The person that’s complaining (needs) to be accountable,” Graham said of Brown. “I’m just being honest. ... Like and he (knows) this. I don’t know the whole story, but I know that (Hurts) is trying. And I mean, (Brown) could be a little better with how he responds to things and they were friends before this. It’s like, man, but things have changed, and I understand that because life happens, but we gotta — it’s the business side that we have to make sure that we don’t let the personal get in the way of the business and that’s what we gotta do better at right now because we know it’s the issue. “Everybody is saying some things, but we need to be able to talk things out as men, you know what I’m saying? But, we need to let personal stuff go and let’s get right for this game because man, it’s like most of the time it’s just a conversation that just (needs) to be had, but the person with the problem (has) to want to talk to the person other than others. That’s all I’m saying." Graham, who is sidelined with a triceps injury, clarified his comments later to an ESPN reporter, saying he made the wrong assumption about the relationship between Hurts and Brown and planned to apologize to both players. But the damage was done. Or was it? While social media ran wild with news there’s more trouble in Philadelphia, the Eagles have been here before. They fell apart last year after a 10-1 start, dropping six of their final seven games, including a lopsided loss in the playoffs to Tampa Bay. There were questions about Hurts’ leadership, his relationship to teammates and the team’s locker room dynamic. Plus, coach Nick Sirianni was harshly criticized for the team’s failures. They overcame a tumultuous offseason and are 11-2 and in position to make a Super Bowl run. All they have to do is get along, put the team first and focus on the overall goal of winning a championship instead of pouting about individual statistics. One breakout passing game can change everything. Bill Belichick can’t break Don Shula’s all-time NFL wins record coaching in college. Whether his interest in the vacancy at the University of North Carolina is genuine or not, it doesn’t change the fact that he has to return to the NFL to become the winningest coach in league history. The biggest question is whether he’ll get that opportunity. Belichick only interviewed with Atlanta out of eight coaching vacancies last season. Belichick, who led the New England Patriots to six Super Bowl titles with Tom Brady, needs to win 27 more games to break Shula’s record for most regular-season victories. He’s 15 wins away from passing Shula for all-time victories, including the postseason. The 72-year-old Belichick explained on ESPN’s “The Pat McAfee Show,” how he would approach a college job. “If I was in a college program, the college program would be a pipeline to the NFL for the players that had the ability to play in the NFL,” Belichick said. “It would be a professional program: training, nutrition, scheme, coaching, techniques that would transfer to the NFL. It would be an NFL program at a college level.” Belichick pointed out the NIL and transfer portal have made college football more like pro football. It makes sense for Belichick to explore all of his options and talk to every team that’s interested. North Carolina could end up being his best opportunity to return to coaching, even if he can’t add those wins to his NFL resume.
