Karen Finney, a US political consultant and Hillary Clinton's former spokesperson during her 2016 campaign, told Jennings that those 'accomplishments' will 'also stand the test of time.' As she said this, Jennings, who has become known for his dissonance from the network's progressive stance, quickly shot her down and corrected her statements. In reference to Biden, Finney said: 'I think he still, look, he showed up for the job. He got the work done. 'I think some of the accomplishments also, in the Middle East and foreign policy will also stand the test of time,' she added. 'You think the Middle East is in better shape today than when he took office?' Jennings asked Finney as he smirked toward the camera. 'Well, I think he got our hostages home. I think that's a big deal. I think it's important..' Finney said as Jennings cut her off and looked at her in awe. 'I'm sorry, which hostages?', he questioned. Finney then said Biden 'has gotten a number of people home,' as she stumbled on her words. Karen Finney, a US political consultant, was quickly shot down by CNN pundit Scott Jennings after she hailed President Biden has 'accomplishments' in the Middle East Jennings corrected Finney as she said that Biden has 'gotten a number of people home' from the war, as he butted in and said that 100 people are still trapped in Gaza 'There's still 100 people over there,' Jennings said, referring to the hostages still trapped in Gaza as the Israeli-Palestinian war continues more than a year later. In an effort to save herself, Finney told Jennings: 'Well, there were more than that,' just before he makes it clear that some of the hostages are Americans. Jennings quickly changed the subject and looked away from Finney as he discussed his predictions for Biden after he's booted from the White House in a couple weeks by President-elect Donald Trump. 'Look, I think he's gonna leave office in disgrace. The Hunter Biden pardon was disgraceful. 'He's going to be remembered largely for inflation and for the disastrous Afghanistan pullout,' Jennings noted, adding that the 'massive cover-up' reportedly made by Biden's administration has led him to a 'diminished presidency.' Jennings also highlighted his rage with the 'massive cover-up' that reportedly went on by Biden's family and administration 'But as we continue to learn about the massive cover-up that went on, not about his health, but about this mental acuity, to cover that up - the efforts that were undertaken by the White House staff, by his [Biden's] family - not in the last couple of months, but for all four years, I think it's gonna be a really ugly chapter. 'It's a diminished presidency because of it,' Jennings said, adding that 'we don't know the full extent' of what Biden's team did to 'try and hide what they've been doing over in the west wing.' A recent bombshell report by The Wall Street Journal revealed that the White House tried to hide from the public Biden's rapidly diminishing mental condition for his entire presidency. Biden's team hired a vocal coach, put other officials into roles usually occupied by the president, scrapped meetings on his 'bad days', and kept him at arm's length from his own Cabinet members, the outlet reported. The explosive investigation has exposed an extensive, deliberate and years-long cover-up that also saw the administration gaslighting those who dared to claim Biden's abilities had deteriorated since he was Barack Obama's vice president. Despite the efforts of 'eager beaver hand-holders', Biden's decline became increasingly obvious, especially after Special Counsel Robert Hur last year released a report depicting a forgetful and frail then-81 year old. Hur decided not to charge Biden for keeping classified documents in his Delaware garage because he 'would likely present himself to a jury' as a 'sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.' Among the many struggles Biden has faced as president, inflation and the Middle East conflict reflect Jimmy Carter's time in the White House. President-elect Donald Trump has often compared the Democratic presidents, and has even labeled them two of the worst. 'Jimmy Carter's happy because he's had a brilliant presidency compared to Biden,' Trump joked on the campaign trail in April. Carter only served one term due to losing his 1980 reelection bid to Republican President Ronald Reagan. The former president died on Sunday, at the age of 100. Biden dropped his reelection bid in July after a disastrous June debate performance with his successor, Vice President Kamala Harris, losing to Trump in the general election last month. As Biden nears the end of his term, his poll numbers are closing in on Carter's as well. Biden's approval rating stands at 37 percent but is trending downward, so he's likely to leave with the same - or worse - numbers than Carter. What's more, is that a couple weeks ago, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 267 points or .6 percent down for the ninth straight day in a row - something that hasn't happened since February 1978, when 100-year-old President Carter was in office, CNN reported using FactSet data. PACS Group Announces Receipt of Notice of Late Filing from NYSE
America’s banking regulator says that it’s costing more to supervise the country’s largest financial institutions. As such, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) announced Wednesday (Nov. 27) that it was hiking its assessment rates for 2025. The increases are chiefly for larger banks and other institutions requiring more supervision, the OCC said in a news release. “The OCC increased the rates in the general assessment fee schedule for assets above $40 billion by 16 percent to reflect the increased cost of supervising the largest institutions,” the release said. “The OCC increased all other rates in the general assessment fee schedule by 2.65 percent to account for inflation.” The assessment schedule will still include a surcharge for banks that need increased supervisory resources, the OCC added. Banks subject to the surcharge calculate this fee by multiplying the sum of the general assessment — based on the bank’s book assets up to $40 billion — and bank credit union association assessments by 50% for 3-rated banks and 100% for 4- and 5-rated banks. For next year, the OCC is hiking the asset cap from $40 billion to $250 billion, reflecting growth in the banking sector since the asset cap was last raised in 2014. “The 2025 assessment rates will provide the OCC with sufficient resources to recruit, train, and retain the talent and to update the agency’s technology systems as necessary to perform its important mission to maintain the safety, soundness, and fairness of the federal banking system,” the release said. The new assessment rates will go into effect Jan. 1, and will be reflected in assessments paid on March 31 and Sept. 30 of next year. In other OCC news, Acting Comptroller of the Currency Michael J. Hsu said last week he supports “federal payments regulation and a chartering regime for nonbanks.” Testifying the House Financial Services Committee, Hsu said that if FinTechs remain licensed and regulated at the state level only, some will likely exploit regulatory gaps. “I support the Treasury Department’s call for federal payments regulation and a chartering regime for nonbanks,” Hsu said in the statement. “If well designed, such a system — which could be modeled on the dual banking system with distinct roles for federal versus state authorities — would provide the guardrails necessary to close regulatory gaps, protect consumers and promote more responsible innovation and competition.”None

The five-star recruit announced his decision Tuesday via the Bleacher Report's B/R App. Cenac previously said he wouldn't make his decision until the spring, but his stock soared over the summer after his impressive play on the Puma Pro 16 circuit with Dallas-based YGC, vaulting him into the national top-10 rankings. The 6-foot-10 New Orleans native was reportedly choosing between LSU, Auburn, Arkansas, Baylor, Kentucky, Tennessee and others before making the decision to join Cougars coach Kelvin Sampson's team. "I just like the coaching staff a lot, I like their plan to develop me and I like coming into a winning program," Cenac told 247Sports. "I'm looking forward to producing and just helping them win more. But the main thing was development and them being able to get me better so I can be ready for that next level." Cenac's rating of .9978 by 247Sports Composite makes him the Cougars' highest-rated commit in the modern era, according to multiple outlets. "They see me as a four who can kind of play all over the court and do everything," Cenac told 247Sports. "I can get rebounds, push the ball, shoot and play all over the floor." With Cenac joining other Houston commits like five-star shooting guard Isaiah Harwell, four-star point guard Kingston Flemings and three-star wing Bryce Jackson, Houston's Class of 2025 is ranked No. 2 in the nation by 247Sports and ESPN. --Field Level Media
The Pittsburgh Steelers take on what is typically an unenviable task -- traveling on a short week for a Thursday night primetime game. However, a few things are playing in Pittsburgh's favor as Week 12 of the NFL regular season kicks off. Namely, the "trip" to Cleveland is a little more than two hours by road and when the Steelers arrive there, they'll be facing a backup quarterback at the helm of a massively underwhelming 2-8 Browns team. The Steelers (8-2) are coming off a huge win over Baltimore to stay atop the AFC North. And Pittsburgh is beginning to set its sights on potential home-field advantage come playoff time. ODDS AND TRENDS The Steelers are a consensus 3.5-point favorite. That includes at BetRivers, where they have been backed by 80 percent of the spread-line money. Pittsburgh's -195 moneyline to simply win the game has been even more popular, drawing 95 percent of all money wagered. The Browns enter Thursday night having failed to cover the spread in nine of their past 12 games. Meanwhile, the Steelers have covered the spread in every game during their five-game win streak. The 37.0 total points line has seen the Over backed by 65 percent of the money and 70 percent of the total bets. Each of Cleveland's past eight November home games has gone under the total points line. PROP PICKS --Steelers WR George Pickens Over 50 Receiving Yards (-195 at DraftKings): Russell Wilson has thrown six touchdowns in the four games since he took over as the starting quarterback. Two of those have gone to Pickens, who has at least 74 receiving yards in each of those games. There is some concern that Pittsburgh gains a big early lead and turns to a run-heavy attack, but Wilson throws an excellent deep ball and that plays into Pickens' strength. This is the most popular player prop at the book. --Steelers RB Najee Harris Anytime TD (+100 at BetRivers): That potential for a run-heavy approach should benefit Harris, who found the sledding tough against Baltimore with 63 yards on the ground. He was also held out of the end zone for the second time in three games. Keep in mind that Cleveland has allowed only three touchdowns on the ground all season, but the Browns have allowed 12 through the air. Harris has a trio of scores on the ground and receiving through 10 games. KEY STAT The Browns have won the first quarter in five consecutive home games against the Steelers. THE NEWS The Steelers have certainly been locked in. They are currently riding a five-game winning streak, most recently edging the Baltimore Ravens 18-16 on Sunday. Chris Boswell booted six field goals against Baltimore, while Wilson completed 23 of 36 passes for 205 yards and an interception. Meanwhile, Cleveland continues to go through the wringer. The Browns ended up on the wrong end of a 35-14 blowout while facing the host New Orleans Saints on Sunday, marking their seventh loss in the past eight games. Cleveland now has to go up against one of the most unforgiving defenses in the league. Browns quarterback Jameis Winston is determined to direct a fundamentally sound performance against Pittsburgh, which allows the second-fewest points per game in the NFL (16.2). "It's precision passing. Getting the ball out on time. Elite operation and just doing our job. It's the simple things," Winston said. "This team (the Steelers) is not going to try and fool you. They're going to line up and say, 'Give us your best, we're going to give you our best.'" Winston threw for 395 yards and two touchdowns on 30-for-46 passing in the setback against New Orleans, with Jerry Jeudy hauling in six catches for 142 yards and a score. Star running back Nick Chubb continued to struggle since his return from a knee injury that cut his 2023 season short, finishing with 50 yards on 11 carries. INJURY REPORT The Browns could be without standout defensive end Myles Garrett, who missed practice on Tuesday because of a hip injury. Wide receiver Elijah Moore (shoulder), guard Joel Bitonio (pectoral) and cornerbacks Denzel Ward (ribs/ankle) and Greg Newsome II (shoulder) were among those limited during the session. Linebacker Alex Highsmith is dealing with an ankle issue and was ruled out by the Steelers along with cornerback Cory Trice Jr. (hamstring). THEY SAID IT Wilson is starting to feel like he might be part of something special, but he also doesn't want Pittsburgh to get ahead of itself. "I definitely think that we have a chance (to make a deep playoff run)," said Wilson, who has played in two Super Bowls. "I think the biggest thing for us is continuing to just take each week as the most important week of it all. "I think that it's not really even just the week, it's just the day, it's just the moments in between. I think the greatest teams, the greatest players, in any sport, especially the teams I've been on, is the moment -- it's never too far away. It's right here, right now. And you're just locked into that." PREDICTION Divisional road games on short weeks typically shape up as a daunting task. That's not the case for the Steelers, who will be hyper-focused to put this one out of reach early before enjoying 10 days ahead of a trip to Cleveland. With a second game against the Browns before a huge game at Philadelphia, this is not an under-manned opponent Pittsburgh will look past. --Steelers 27, Browns 19 --Field Level Media
New VicPD peer support program paying off
The decision by Tesco, Musgrave and the BWG Group came after a woman who said Mr McGregor raped her won a civil claim for damages against him. Nikita Hand, who accused the sportsman of raping her in a Dublin hotel in December 2018, won her claim against him for damages in a case at the High Court in the Irish capital. In a statement, a spokesman for Musgrave said: “Musgrave can confirm these products are no longer available to our store network.” The network includes SuperValu, Centra, Daybreak and Mace. A Tesco spokesperson said: “We can confirm that we are removing Proper No Twelve Whiskey from sale in Tesco stores and online.” A spokesperson for BWG Group said: “The products are no longer listed for distribution across our network of Spar, Eurospar, Mace, Londis and XL stores, including Appleby Westward which operates over 300 Spar stores in the south west of England.” It is understood that other retail outlets including Costcutter and Carry Out will also stop stocking products linked to Mr McGregor. He and some of his business partners sold their majority stake in the Proper Number Twelve Irish whiskey brand. He was reported to have been paid more than £103 million from the sale to Proximo Spirits in 2021. On Monday, a popular video game developer decided to pull content featuring the MMA fighter. The Irish athlete has featured in multiple video games, including voice-acting a character bearing his likeness in additional downloadable content in the Hitman series. Mr McGregor’s character featured as a target for the player-controlled assassin in the game. IO Interactive, the Danish developer and publisher of Hitman, said in a statement: “In light of the recent court ruling regarding Conor McGregor, IO Interactive has made the decision to cease its collaboration with the athlete, effective immediately. “We take this matter very seriously and cannot ignore its implications. “Consequently, we will begin removing all content featuring Mr McGregor from our storefronts starting today.” Last Friday, the High Court jury awarded damages amounting to 248,603.60 euros (around £206,000) to Ms Hand. Mr McGregor made no comment as he left court but later posted on social media that he intended to appeal against the decision.LINCOLN — Two days after the injury against North Alabama, Nebraska women’s basketball coach Amy Williams and the Huskers are still reeling from the news that top-scorer Natalie Potts will miss the remainder of the season due to a torn ACL. “Quite devastating for everyone involved,” Williams said speaking with media on Thursday ahead of the team’s Friday road game at Creighton. “What a start she has had to the season and leading our team in scoring and rebound. She worked really hard this offseason. Coming off a Big Ten Freshman of the Year season, it would be very easy to rest on that and she came in more motivated, coachable, hungry. I think we were really seeing that pay off. Just devastated for her, but so proud of how this team has leaned into her to support her and we worked hard to create a team culture of resilience.” Potts, a sophomore, announced the results of her injury over social media Wednesday night. Potts suffered the injury with five minutes left in the second quarter of Nebraska’s 85-48 win over the Lions, when she fell while getting back on a defensive possession. She immediately grabbed her knee and was emotional as trainers checked on her. With help, Potts limped into the Huskers’ locker room, putting very little weight on her left leg and didn't re-enter the game. She returned to Nebraska’s bench area during halftime in street clothes and with crutches. Entering the game, Potts was averaging 17.5 points and eight rebounds per game. She was making nearly 70% of her shots from the field and was even better from behind the arc at nearly 73%. Williams said a date for Potts’ surgery has not been scheduled. Though Potts will be a massive hole to fill, especially with the attention she took away from senior forward Alexis Markowski, Williams believes this year’s team is built to rebound from injuries due to its depth. “I wouldn’t want to go into any battle without Natalie Potts, but I do feel confident in the entire roster we put together,” Williams said. “There are times we will be able to do some different things. We have had to adjust and tweak and will continue to do that as we get used to life from here forward. I feel so excited from the fact that we have been saying we feel like we have a deep roster, and now this is what we are built for.” Though Amiah Hargrove got the start in place of Potts to open the second half, it was Jessica Petrie who had the most-productive night, scoring 14 points in the second half. Williams noted that Petrie has raised her game after spending part of the offseason back home in Australia. “She really came on strong in the second half,” Williams said of Petrie. “She had the opportunity to work through more mistakes and started to thrive... This year she has come in with a new level of confidence and has worked hard on the things we asked her to do. We are excited about what she brings to the table.” Along with Potts, the Huskers could also be missing senior guard Allison Weidner, who did not play against North Alabama with an undisclosed injury suffered against South Dakota and is considered “day-to-day” heading into Friday’s road game against Creighton (4 p.m. CT/FloHoops). The Bluejays are arguably Nebraska’s toughest non-conference opponent this season. Couple that with the in-state rivalry aspect and injuries heading into the matchup will put the No. 21 Huskers on upset alert. Williams, however, said her team is not placing Friday’s game in higher regards than others on Nebraska’s schedule. “For us every game is important,” she said. “This team has set consistency as one of the top-three core values we want to emphasize in our program. Over the last few years we have had some big wins, and we have had some games that have kept us out of position to accomplish our biggest goals. "For us, it is every single day we want to go 1-0... Tomorrow’s game is as important as any game, but after its over the next game will be the most important one. That’s how we will look at it with this particular team.” What : No. 21 Nebraska at Creighton When : Nov. 22, 4 p.m. Where : Ryan Athletics Center and D.J.
