A wild first season of the expanded Big 12 is down to what should be a chaotic final weekend. Through all the upsets, unexpected rises and falls, there are nine teams still in the mix to play in the conference championship game. No. 14 Arizona State and No. 17 Iowa State have the best odds, yet a multitude of scenarios could play out — 256 to be exact. There's even the possibility of an eight-team tie. It may take a mathematician to figure out which teams are in the Dec. 7 game in Arlington, Texas — even for the ones who win. Star power Travis Hunter, Colorado. The Buffaloes' two-way star has excelled on both sides of the field, making him one of the favorites to win the Heisman Trophy. Cam Skattebo, Arizona State. The senior running back can do a little of everything, but excels at punishing would-be tacklers. He's one of the nation's leaders in yards after contact and the focal point of the Sun Devils' offense. People are also reading... Shadeur Sanders, Colorado. If it weren't for Hunter, Sanders might be the Heisman favorite. The son of coach Deion Sanders, Shedeur is fifth nationally with 3,488 yards passing and has been a big part of the Buffaloes' turnaround. DJ Giddens, Kansas State. The Wildcats' running back is one of the nation's most versatile players. He is ninth nationally with 1,271 rushing yards and has added 21 receptions for 258 yards. Tetairoa McMillan, Arizona. The Wildcats have struggled this season, but McMillan has not. He is third nationally with 1,251 receiving yards with seven touchdowns on 78 catches. Jacob Rodriguez, Texas Tech. The Red Raiders' junior linebacker leads the Big 12 with 68 tackles, averaging 10.2 per game. He also has four sacks. Brendan Mott, Kansas State. He's a menace to opposing quarterbacks, leading the Big 12 with 8 1/2 sacks. Going bowling The Big 12 has nine teams already bowl eligible and two more a win away. The winner of the Big 12 championship game will be in the mix for a College Football Playoff spot. Arizona State, Iowa State, No. 19 BYU, Colorado, Kansas State, Baylor, TCU, Texas Tech and West Virginia have already clinched bowl berths. Kansas and Cincinnati can get into the postseason with wins this weekend. Hot seats Gus Malzahn, UCF. Despite successes in recruiting, the Knights are 10-14 in two seasons since moving to the Big 12. Maybe not enough to get shown the door this year, but another mediocre season could lead UCF to make a change. Kyle Whittingham, Utah. Whittingham was one of the Pac-12's best coaches, leading the Utes to consecutive conference titles. Utah was expected to contend for the Big 12 title its first year in the league, but enters the final weekend 1-7 in conference play, which could push Whittingham toward retirement since it's doubtful he'd be fired. Neal Brown, West Virginia. The Mountaineers' coach was in a precarious spot at the end of last season and West Virginia hasn't lived up to expectations this season. The Mountaineers are eligible to go to a bowl game for the second straight season, but Brown could be on the hot seat even after signing a contract extension before the season. Youth movement Josiah Trotter, West Virginia. The redshirt freshman is the latest Trotter to have success at the linebacker position, following the footsteps of his father, former Philadelphia Eagles player Jeremiah Trotter, and brother Jeremiah Trotter Jr., a current Eagles linebacker. Sam Leavitt, Arizona State. The Michigan State transfer has been just what the Sun Devils' needed: an agile quarterback who extends plays with his legs and rarely makes bad decisions. Bryson Washington, Baylor. The Bears' running back has rushed for 812 yards — 196 against TCU — and 10 TDs. Recruiting watch TCU has the Big 12's highest rated 2025 recruiting class with six four-star players among 26 commitments, according to the 247 Sports composite. Receiver Terry Shelton of Carrollton, Texas, is the highest-rated recruit at 71st nationally. Baylor is next with five five-star players among its 20 commitments, including running back Michael Turner, rated 13th at his position out of North Richland Hills, Texas. Texas Tech is ranked seventh in the Big 12, but has four four-star recruits. Be the first to know

NEW YORK (AP) — It’s almost that time of year: Spotify is gearing up to release its annual Wrapped, personalized recaps of users’ listening habits and year in audio. Spotify has been giving its listeners breakdowns of their data since 2016. And each year, it’s become a bigger production — and internet sensation. Spotify said its 2023 Wrapped was the “biggest ever created,” in terms of audience reach and the kind of data it provided. So, what will 2024 have in store? Here’s a look at what to know ahead of this year’s Spotify Wrapped. What exactly is Spotify Wrapped? It’s the streaming service’s annual overview of individual listening trends, as well as trends around the world. Users learn their top artists, songs, genres, albums and podcasts, all wrapped into one interactive presentation. The campaign has become a social media sensation, as people share and compare their Wrapped data with their friends and followers online. Past iterations have provided users with all kinds of breakdowns and facts, including whether they’re among an artist’s top listeners, as well as a personalized playlist of their top 100 songs of that year to save, share and listen to whenever they’re feeling nostalgic. Spotify also creates a series of playlists that reflect national and global listening trends, featuring the top streamed artists and songs. In 2023, Taylor Swift was Spotify’s most streamed artist , unseating Bad Bunny who had held the title for three years in a row. Each year has something new in store. In 2019, Wrapped included a summary of users’ streaming trends for the entire decade. Last year, Spotify matched listeners to a Sound Town based on their artist affinities and how it lined up with those in other parts of the world. When is the expected release date? So far, the streaming platform has kept the highly anticipated release date of Wrapped under ... er, wraps. In past years, it’s been released after Thanksgiving, between Nov. 30 and Dec. 6. Each year, rumors tend to swell on social media around when Spotify stops collecting data in order to prepare their Wrapped results, and this year was no exception. Spotify quickly squashed those presumptions , assuring on social media that “Spotify Wrapped doesn’t stop counting on October 31st.” A representative for Spotify did not respond to a request for comment on when the company stops tracking data for Wrapped. Where can I find my Spotify Wrapped? When Wrapped is released, each user’s Spotify account will prompt them to view their interactive data roundup. It can be accessed through the Spotify smartphone app, or by logging on to the Spotify website . Wrapped is available to users with and without Premium subscriptions. What else can I learn with my Spotify data? There are a handful of third-party sites that you can connect your Spotify account to that will analyze your Wrapped data. How Bad is Your Spotify is an AI bot that judges your music taste. Receiptify gives you your top songs on a sharable graphic that looks like, yes, a receipt. Instafest gives you your own personal music festival-style lineup based on your top artists. How NPRCore Are You assesses how similar your music taste is to NPR Music’s. What if I don’t have Spotify? Other major streaming platforms such as Apple Music and YouTube Music have developed their own versions of Wrapped in recent years. Apple Music’s Replay not only gives its subscribers a year-end digest of their listening habits but monthly summaries as well — a feature that helps differentiate itself from the one-time Spotify recap. That’s released at the end of the calendar year. YouTube Music, meanwhile, has a similar end-of-the-year release for its listeners, as well as periodic seasonal releases throughout the year. It released its annual Recap for users earlier this month.Welcome to F1 Hangover , a new series where I take you inside the events, parties, panels and pop-ups happening off-track over the race weekend. I’ll give you the inside line behind-the-scenes and share some insight into how celebrities spend their time when the track is cold, what the drivers get up to when they aren’t in the paddock, and everything in between. My Las Vegas Grand Prix got off to a particularly chaotic start when I moved my flight to 6am the Sunday before the race in preparation for a last-minute shoot with Liam Lawson and his partner Hannah St. John. The pair (very kindly!) allowed me to join them for the last leg of their Los Angeles to Las Vegas road trip in a Ford F-150 Raptor. We talked about the "Cars" movie (obviously), his brief emo songwriting career and his future in F1 — but I won’t share too much because the full video of our chat is dropping later this week. Oscar Piastri, Bianca Bustamante, McLaren, Abercrombie Photo by: McLaren On Tuesday , McLaren hosted a takeover at Abercrombie & Fitch, inviting fans to meet Oscar Piastri and F1 Academy driver Bianca Bustamante while shopping new merch. I was told that fans started lining up outside the store at 9am for a 5pm photo op with the 23-year-old Aussie, though he was in-and-out within a strict 30 minute window. During a race week, the drivers’ time is scheduled — quite literally — down to the minute, and it never ceases to amaze me how many brand events and Q&As they can cram in between sessions on-track. This is especially true for the McLaren crew given how many sponsors the final boss of marketing, Zak Brown , has brought onto the team. They’ve cast a wide net across multiple sectors, attracting everyone from Goldman Sachs to Gopuff, which seems to have resulted in them finding some of the best merch partners of any team on the grid (I’m talking style, quality, and price point). Abercrombie has undergone a pretty stunning image rehab in recent years, and as someone who never had a strong affinity for the brand (I grew up in Australia), the McLaren partnership has really endeared me to them. Anecdotally, I’ve heard a lot of people had similar experiences with the brand, which seems to indicate that the once-surprising partnership is proving fruitful for all parties! Wednesday — I made a quick pit stop in the paddock to speak with Franco Colapinto . We discussed his newfound fame, why he deleted Twitter and his love for engineering — he seems very down-to-earth and well-liked by the team, so I’m curious to see what his future holds in 2025 and beyond. I then headed back to the Strip for dinner at Caesars Palace’s Stanton Social Prime, hosted by WhatsApp, Mercedes and George Russell ’s partner, Carmen Montero Mundt. I overwhelmingly find myself in rooms surrounded by men (often of the older, British variety), so it was extremely refreshing to walk into a space full of diverse young women. There were a few female drivers in attendance, but most of the guests were content creators who have attracted millions of views across multiple social media platforms. Carmen Montero Mundt, Toni Breidinger Photo by: Jojo Korsh-BFA.com I’m very aware that some long-term fans can be dismissive of F1 influencers and content creators, but I’m here to say their power shouldn’t be underestimated. I spent some time with Lissie Mackintosh, who I’ve gotten to know over the past few years, and you would think I was standing next to Lewis Hamilton based on the reaction she garnered from strangers on the street. I lost count of the number of people who thanked her for getting them into F1 — several people said she was the sole reason they discovered the sport, and decided to fly to Vegas for the race. Lissie Mackintosh Photo by: Jojo Korsh-BFA.com But back to the dinner itself! WhatsApp is such a great partner for an F1 team because a LOT of motorsport business gets done via the messaging app. In fact, I don’t think there’s a single person in the F1 paddock who doesn’t use WhatsApp (including us!). I also really enjoyed the ‘short film’ they released during the US Grand Prix starring Hamilton, and I think there’s still a lot they could do to highlight how essential WhatsApp is to Mercedes’ day-to-day functioning. Mundt told me it meant a lot to partner with the two brands “to celebrate the incredible female fandom of Formula 1 — which is an often under-appreciated but absolutely vital part of this community.” She continued, “What I love about WhatsApp is how they spotlight and unite diverse communities, and in this case, the women within F1. Each person at this dinner has played a key role in elevating F1's global influence and expanding its reach. I’m truly proud to be surrounded by such strong, empowered change-makers. These women, in my opinion, are the unsung heroes who have been pivotal in driving the sport forward.” Emily Ratajkowski Photo by: Jojo Korsh-BFA.com Speaking of women in F1, the Female Quotient partnered with F1 Academy to host a series of panels featuring the likes of Susie Wolff and Tommy Hilfiger. It was a very inspiring morning by all accounts, and I’m excited to ramp up coverage of F1 Academy next season. Another event I wasn’t able to attend due to scheduling conflicts was the PUMA Speedcat celebration, attended by Emily Ratajkowski and Paris Hilton. The brand welcomed Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc into the flagship store earlier in the week, too, with the Monegasque rocking a pair of custom sneakers paying tribute to his puppy, Leo. Paris Hilton Photo by: Jojo Korsh-BFA.com If you’ve noticed a pattern so far, it’s that just about every brand involved in the sport decided to activate in Sin City. IWC Schaffhausen, a longtime Mercedes sponsor, hosted a Q&A with Toto Wolff, which I was eager to attend as I’m intrigued by how the team plans to approach its partnerships in the post-Hamilton era. Wolff is a business man after all, and wasn’t shy about reminding the high-rollers in attendance that the Vegas GP is, at least somewhat, for them. “If a driver doesn’t like the circuit, so be it,” he candidly told the group when asked about racing on the streets of Vegas. “They’re not the client, you are.” I then darted across town to the MGM Grand where McLaren was highlighting its partnership with Mastercard via a Cirque du Soleil performance. It was certainly one of the more... unique F1 events I’ve attended, but the theatre was filled primarily with guests of Mastercard so I’m sure they enjoyed the excerpt from the spectacular KÀ show (as did I, for the record). Friday , I caught up with Gordon Ramsay: we talked about tuna, his enviable car collection and the $35,000 per person ‘Ramsay’s Garage’ experience he was hosting in the paddock. Before I wrote about F1 full time I covered pop culture, meaning I’ve spent a lot of time speaking to celebrities on red carpets and as such, have a pretty good radar for who seems like a decent person. I’m happy to report Ramsay was just as engaging in-person as he is on-camera, and seemed genuinely interested in the people around him which you don't find too often. Ramsay's Garage in the Paddock Photo by: Simon Galloway / Motorsport Images Sticking to the culinary theme, I headed over to the Bellagio Fountain Club where some of the world’s most renowned chefs, including Jean-Georges Vongerichten, David Chang, Wolfgang Puck, Alain Ducasse and Mark Wahlberg, were preparing to serve up fine fare. I spoke to Mario Carbone, an A-list chef whose spicy rigatoni has garnered a cult following, about his friendship with Max Verstappen . “He comes to Carbone a bunch. I love what he does, and he likes what I do, so it's nice to feed him,” he told me. As for how the four-time word champion celebrates? “He sticks to the classics. He wants his pasta, he's here for carbs. He wants to cheat a little bit [because] it's usually after a win.” I also checked out the Shoey Bar at the Bellagio, where fans could purchase one of just 2500 specially designed, collectible Sparco boots. It's a great concept, I just can't help but wonder if the feeling in the air would be slightly different if Daniel Ricciardo hadn't lost his seat on the grid a couple of months ago. Actor Brad Pitt, with director Joseph Kosinski look onto parc ferme during qualifying ahead of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, filming for the upcoming "F1" film. Photo by: Getty Images Later that night, Brad Pitt’s “F1” crew hit the streets to film some of the 2025 summer blockbuster’s final scenes. Producer Jerry Bruckheimer recently revealed the movie will premiere in Monaco at a private screening for drivers and team personnel before it becomes available in cinemas worldwide. Meanwhile, I went to an intimate Hilton Hotels event hosted by its namesake spokesperson, Paris Hilton. The party itself was pretty standard fare (cocktails, canapés and dancing) but I want to take this moment to briefly discuss “Selling Sunset” stars Jason and Brett Oppenheim, along with Mary Fitzgerald and her husband Romain Bonnet, who were dancing into the early hours of the morning. The foursome are regular fixtures at F1 races, often seen in the Alpine garage with headsets on, or posing for snaps with drivers. If I were a B-list reality star (to be clear, I say that without a hint of shade) who happened to love F1, I would absolutely be milking that fame to get the best seat in the house. You simply have to respect the hustle, and their genuine love for the sport! Sylvester Stallone waves the chequered flag Photo by: Simon Galloway / Motorsport Images Ironically, race day ( Saturday ) itself is often pretty quiet until the lights go out, but the highlight of every weekend is the starting grid. Plenty of my fellow reporters have written eloquently about the magic of those 45 minutes leading up to the race start (Luke Smith’s upcoming book paints a full picture of the pre-race pomp and circumstance), but there’s nothing like rubbing shoulders with A-listers while trying to avoid ending up in the background of Martin Brundle’s grid walk. On this occasion, I spotted Nina Dobrev and Shaun White, the entire Stallone family, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Noah Lyles and multiple members of the billionaire Arnault family, whose company, LVMH, recently inked a historic deal with F1. I’m also intrigued by which celebrities manage to sneak into a race undetected. Last year, Rihanna fans didn’t even realize she was on the premises until she was spotted on the broadcast in the Ferrari garage. This time, Bradley Cooper and Adele were both pictured in the McLaren garage at points throughout the weekend, but almost nobody saw them coming in or out. The one downside of the Vegas GP is that the lights go out at 10pm, meaning you’re not making it to an after party until 3am (if you’re lucky). I ended my night at XS at the Wynn, where Swedish House Mafia were DJing in front of a very packed crowd. Typically I’d put in a few calls to find out how race winner Russell or newly-crowned champion Verstappen were celebrating, but at this point in my Vegas trip (we're now on day 7) I was all partied out. Until next year!Craig used Facebook to make a baby with strangers, then came torment

Losing weight isn't easy. This writer knows that, from personal experience. But it can be done with diet and exercise, along with consistency and discipline. But as the Biden-Harris administration starts packing up the Oval Office and heading for the exits, they're still passing rules and making trouble for the income Trump administration. The latest bit is also a boon to big pharma, in the form of a new rule that would cover weight-loss drugs like Ozempic and Wegovy under Medicare/Medicaid: BREAKING: Millions of Americans with obesity would be eligible to have costly weight-loss drugs like Wegovy or Ozempic covered by Medicare or Medicaid under a new Biden rule https://t.co/LqrD8P4ZFJ More from the AP: Millions of Americans with obesity would be eligible to have popular weight-loss drugs like Wegovy or Zepbound covered by Medicare or Medicaid under a new rule the Biden administration proposed Tuesday morning. The costly proposal from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services immediately sets the stage for a showdown between the powerful pharmaceutical industry and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., an outspoken opponent of the weight-loss drugs who, as President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee to lead the agency, could block the measure. While the rule would give millions of people access to weekly injectables that have helped people shed pounds so quickly that some have labeled them miracle drugs, it would cost taxpayers as much as $35 billion over the next decade. $35 billion dollars. Biden was the best thing to ever happen to Big Pharma YUP. Exercising, dieting and drinking more tap water would be a lot cheaper. And your fellow taxpayers wouldn't have to pay for it. Having the government pay for it opens up a whole can of worms that lets the government put its nose in your personal business, including whether or not you're losing weight. Wait, I thought obesity was a good thing to be celebrated and embraced. What changed?🤔 They sure yeeted the 'body positivity movement' real quick, huh? I'm old enough to remember the left being vehemently against off-label use of drugs. Going to be interesting to see what late stage side effects occur from use of these drugs by non-diabetics. We don't know what those long-term effects will be. So as a middle class tax payer who exercises 6 days w eek and is conscience of what I eat, I have to pay for some fat ass to get “free” Ozempic? Apparently. This rule will not be finalized until after Trump takes office, so it is a political statement, period. It gives the Left a talking point: 'Look at mean Trump! He wants fat people to die!' BREAKING: the "Biden rules" will be obsolete in 55 days! https://t.co/VXLpVo10f1 Thank goodness! The Pritzker Administration successfully pushed last year to expand coverage of these drugs for people enrolled in the state’s group health insurance program. But it came with a high price tag. Re-upping Dave McKinney’s @WBEZ story from April: https://t.co/4Z9u9VJRnV https://t.co/lYCkEpQOks Clearly Pritzker isn't using those drugs. Just sayin'. Why? I’ve been assured fat positivity is the proper response to obesity. Are you telling me the left has been lying to me? https://t.co/dFrjSLyEUX You're gonna want to sit down for this. Of course. One last payout to big Pharma. https://t.co/RBs3jNBc0T Completely on-brand for Biden.Podcast Hosting Platform Market Set for Exceptional Growth from 2024 to 2032Wild first season in expanded Big 12 comes down to final weekend

Digging themselves out: With parade cancelled, Londoners make best of snowy situationIt wouldn’t be without a glazed gammon, would it? And there is no need to complicate things. No intricate scoring needed, no need to place an individual clove in each square before roasting. Who started this clove thing? It’s a bit like when you’re eating a nice curry and you crunch through a whole cardamom seed – definitely not enjoyable. Just give me thick slices of sweet, smoky, salty ham. is a must, sweetness is needed – marmalade is the go-to in my house – and lots of black pepper to finish things off. Go big on your gammon, it’s great cold on Boxing Day, or with a fried egg and some chips, in a leftover turkey pie, in a baguette with lots of butter and some cornichons, I could go on... 10 mins 2 hrs 50 mins 10 4-5kg smoked boneless gammon joint 1 onion, roughly chopped 3 carrots, roughly chopped 1 celery stick, roughly chopped 1⁄2 garlic bulb, cut horizontally 4 sprigs of thyme 4 sprigs of rosemary 1 tbsp cracked black pepper 350g marmalade 2 tbsp Dijon mustard 2 tbsp wholegrain mustard There are two options for removing some salt from your , depending on how organised you are. My preferred method is to leave the joint to soak overnight in cold water, then rinse and cook it the next day. You could also bring it to the boil, simmer for 5 minutes, then drain and rinse. Place your soaked or pre-boiled gammon in a large pan of cold water and add , , , and . Bring to the boil and simmer gently for 11⁄2 hours. Remove the gammon from the pan, reserving the stock. Preheat oven to 190C/170C fan/gas mark 5. Peel off the top layer of skin – you want to leave as much fat on the joint as possible for maximum flavour. Roughly score the fat in a criss-cross pattern, season with and and place in the oven for 15 minutes. Pour and over the gammon and spread, then pour over and baste. Return the gammon to the oven for another 20 minutes. Remove and baste again. Continue to cook the gammon in this way, basting every 20 minutes until it is beautifully coloured and glazed all over (about 1 hour). Using a long, sharp knife, slice it with confident strokes. Serve with roast potatoes and braised greens.

Sirikanya Tansakul, deputy leader of the People's Party (PP), criticised the government on social media for failing to clarify its position regarding reports of a proposed value-added tax ( VAT ) hike. On Saturday she was responding to Suksit Srijomkwan, the prime minister's deputy secretary-general for political affairs, who defended Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra amid growing speculation about the VAT increase. Mr Suksit claimed the prime minister was working to dispel misunderstandings about the issue and accused Ms Sirikanya, whose party advocates for a welfare state, of obstructing tax reform. Ms Sirikanya countered in a post on X, saying she had appeared in multiple forums over the past week to discuss the VAT issue. Despite this, she was accused of hindering reforms. She acknowledged that VAT, a significant source of government revenue set at 7% since 1999 despite a legal ceiling of 10%, might require an increase. However, she argued any hike should be gradual, capped below 15%, and accompanied by measures to mitigate economic impacts. Prime Minister Paetongtarn, she said, failed to adequately address the issue when questioned by the media on Thursday. Instead, the prime minister posted on X the following day, asserting there were no plans to raise VAT to 15%. Earlier, Finance Minister Pichai Chunhavajira faced backlash after proposing at a forum to increase VAT to 15% while simultaneously reducing corporate and personal income taxes to enhance state revenues, improve competitiveness, and reduce economic disparities. Ms Paetongtarn later dismissed the proposal, saying no such VAT adjustment was under consideration. Ms Sirikanya criticised the government's poor communication, warning that it undermines efforts to reform the tax structure. Separately, Charnnarong Buristrakul, chairman of the Khon Kaen Chamber of Commerce, said the government might consider raising VAT to address urgent issues such as flood rehabilitation. However, he cautioned that any increase should be limited to 10% due to the economy's vulnerability.
