At any rate, investors should keep an eye on this credit rating juggernaut. With its asset-light business model, the company generates excellent profitability, with gross margins around 80% and operating margins above 43%. Moreover, Fair Issac has steadily grown its revenue from $1.2 billion to $1.7 billion over the last five years, representing yearly growth of about 8%. In other words, this under-the-radar financial mainstay is an excellent business, stock split or not. Netflix A few years ago, another stock split seemed out of the question for Netflix ( NFLX -1.80% ) . Shares tumbled nearly 75% in the first half of 2022, bottoming near $166. Yet, since then, the company and its stock have come roaring back. Shares have recently crossed the $900 mark, as revenue and profits have reached all-time highs. That has investors wondering whether the company might announce its first stock split since 2015. I think Netflix will announce a stock split, perhaps as much as a 10-for-1 split at some point in 2025. Meanwhile, the company remains a solid investment. The addition of an advertising tier , along with the company's crackdown on password sharing , has pushed Netflix's operating margin to an all-time high of 25.7%. According to November data provided by Nielsen, streaming video now accounts for over 41% of all viewing hours. And of that 41%, Netflix now accounts for 7.7% of all streaming hours, trailing only YouTube (10.8%). Meanwhile, key Netflix competitors like Amazon 's Prime Video (3.7%), Hulu (2.9%), and Disney + (1.9%) remain way behind. As a result, Netflix's stock could continue surging in 2025 -- and perhaps make a stock split even more likely. Tesla Finally, there's Tesla ( TSLA -4.95% ) . It was a mostly lackluster year for Tesla shares -- until Election D ay . Yet, once Donald Trump was named the winner of the election , Tesla shares skyrocketed, thanks to Elon Musk's close ties to the incoming president. As of this writing, Tesla shares are priced at over $450 a share, making them ripe for a potential stock split in 2025. Tesla's most recent stock split was a 3-for-1 split carried out in 2022. When that stock split was first announced in June 2022, shares were trading around $700. Therefore, it's possible the company might consider a 2-for-1 split if shares were to reach and hold the $500 level in 2025. In any event, investors may want to consider Tesla for a few reasons. Obviously, the stock has gotten a bump thanks to Musk's key role within the incoming Trump administration, but there are other reasons, too. The company appears close to deploying some form of autonomous driving along with robotaxis in Austin, Texas. It's another sign that the company may be about to unlock new value propositions that Tesla investors have long hoped for. In addition, some analysts are even more excited by the company's humanoid robot, Optimus. Given recent advancements in artificial intelligence technology, humanoid robots could soon become mainstays in any number of labor-intensive jobs. That presents another potentially lucrative market for Tesla to explore in the coming years. Tesla stock is once again approaching levels at which a stock split is plausible. And even more importantly, the company appears to be firing on all cylinders.

All rights reserved.LAMAR, Mo. — If you exit off of Interstate 49 onto Missouri Highway 160 into Lamar and go east into town, you'll see the right side of the road lined with motivational signs that say "Refuse to lose" and "Take pride in how far you've come, have faith in how far you can go." There are many signs for a stretch on the south side of the road and then farther down the north side of 160. Once you get to Maple Street and turn north toward the high school, the signs continue along that street. "The senior parents lead that every year. It's a tradition that has been passed on from senior parents to senior parents. It's a cool deal to add to our atmosphere," Lamar football head coach Jared Beshore said. It makes an impact for a couple of seniors on the team. "Coming down that road in the morning and reading those signs, it just gets me motivated for the day," quarterback Alex Wilkerson said. "I love it. Any time I drive down 160, I see those signs. I'm like, 'Oh, yeah, it's football season,'" lineman Eli Hull said. The signs are another way Lamar signifies that it is indeed a football town. One sign in particular reads: "Friday night forecast: 100% Tigers." What else is there to do on a Friday night? Probably many things, really. But it's about what the community wants to do. And in the fall, that is football. That dedication on Friday nights is shown to the players through the packed stands each week. It was still evident in 2024 through three straight losses in the middle of the regular season, two of them at home. The final home game in the regular season saw Lamar give the fans what they wanted in a 35-0 win over Aurora. And the fans packed the stands despite the 4-3 record coming into play. "Even though we had those losses, the stands never went from full to empty. I think coach (Scott) Bailey or Beshore said, 'Don't hop off, stay on the boat with us and just keep rowing' when we had those losses," Wilkerson said. Another sign reminds people that they are in Tiger country. That's what stands out to Hull about the effort from the community. Opposing teams see what they're getting into when they show up. He said it tells them, "You're in our house now." The next team to visit their house is Pembroke Hill for a 1 p.m. Saturday kickoff at Thomas M. O'Sullivan Stadium in Lamar. The Raiders (11-0) have outscored opponents 85-12 in the postseason. "They're a really good football team. ... They're really big, they've got good size, they have a lot of good athletes on the perimeter. The quarterback's a really good player that can run and throw. They have a big tight end. The defensive end is 6-2, 240," Beshore said. "We always preach here that we have to win the physicality battle." Pembroke Hill averages 38 points per game and holds opponents to about 12 per contest. Beshore talked about the key to keeping their offense below that 38 ppg average. "We have to contain their athletes, limit big plays and protect the football," Beshore said. It has not been a typical season for Lamar (8-4) because folks have grown accustomed in the past 10 years or more to just one, two or maybe three losses in a season. But Beshore said it's typical for what it looked like early on in the Big 8 Conference with a tough opponent each week. He's seen some of the teams that have struggled in recent years really bring their programs back up this year. "There wasn't a week where we didn't have to dogfight for a win," Beshore said. "This year, we had to battle a lot more than we've had to in the past." There have been a multitude of injuries for Lamar. One injury during Week 8 of the regular season put a player out for the remainder of the year. Key players that were banged up throughout the year were Wilkerson, Cooper Haun and Carson Sturgell. "It's tough. I was hoping to get a full season because I haven't had a full season since freshman year," Wilkerson said. "I believe I became a better man and a better leader through the injuries. Standing on the sideline, encouraging and making sure the team is doing the right thing and are on the right page, teaching the underclassmen the way to go and the people that are probably going to fill my shoes next year." That was part of the process as he dealt with his injury, and now he's been back on the field for the playoffs and is giving his all for his final season. Throughout the battles, a staple on the offensive and defensive lines has been Hull, and he knows his role is valuable to the team. "Coaches say it all the time, and it's the truest thing ever. If you win the line of scrimmage, you win the ballgame," Hull said. "We make an emphasis on hitting people hard and making a statement early." He add that the ball carriers for Lamar are special and make it easier to block with how hard they run. Grinding through those injuries and tribulations of the football season got Lamar to another state tournament, and playing a home game at this time of the season is important. "It'll be a matchup of 'Can those guys handle coming down here and playing in Barton County?' and 'Can our guys be more motivated than them?'" Beshore said. "They've not been in this quarterfinal spot in recent years. So will they be more motivated by being in a new spot than our experience? "Experience can be a good thing. It can also be a bad thing. You know how to handle the atmosphere. But it can be a bad thing if you get complacent. Those kids from Pembroke Hill haven't gotten to play in this game, so I see them being motivated as all get out. Hopefully we can match that hunger." Being at home is important to the players as well. "I've been in this program as ball boy and water boy since third grade, and I've never seen a program that has an atmosphere at a playoff game like us," Wilkerson said. "You walk down this street and see the away stands filled and the home stands filled. There's nothing else like it." "I'm getting goosebumps right now just thinking about it," Hull said. "It just shows what you play for." They play for those who put up signs, including Wilkerson's favorite, which says: "Effort is you vs. you." "Effort is everything here," he added. Haun has led the Tigers with 906 rushing yards and a single-game high of 206 yards against Nevada. He also ran for 183 against Mount Vernon and 156 against East Newton. He leads the team with 12 rushing touchdowns. Sturgell has racked up 686 yards on the ground and had a season high of 149 against Monett. He has nine touchdowns. Haun has toted the rock 132 times, Sturgell 76 times. Wilkerson has passed for 440 yards and nine touchdowns. He's ran for 264 on a limited 33 touches. He had over 300 yards of total offense in a 1-point loss to Cassville this year. He battled injuries to start the year and has been battling through them since that game. Beed, Dec 28 (PTI) Thousands of people gathered in Maharashtra's Beed city on Saturday to protest against the brutal murder of Massajog sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh as even MLAs from the ruling coalition demanded the sacking of NCP minister Dhananjay Munde. Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange, former MP Sambhaji Raje Chhatrapati, local BJP MLAs Suresh Dhas, Abhimanyu Pawar; NCP MLA Prakash Solanke and NCP (SP) MLAs Jitendra Awhad and Sandeep Kshirsagar participated in the 'aakrosh morcha' or protest march that culminated in a rally. The protesters demanded arrest of Walmik Karad, an associate of Dhananjay Munde, a politician from Beed district. Santosh Deshmukh was allegedly abducted and tortured to death on December 9. While four persons have been arrested, Opposition leaders claimed in the state legislature during the winter session that Walmik Karad was the mastermind of the murder. Karad, named as an accused in a related case of extortion but not for the murder, is still at large. In a related development, social activist Anjali Damania on Saturday claimed that she received a call saying that three absconding accused in the case had been murdered. She shared the information with Beed Police, Damania added. Earlier this week, the activist had alleged that Dhananjay Munde and Karad were joint owners of a tract of land. At the rally in Beed, Vaibhavi Deshmukh, the daughter of the deceased sarpanch, demanded justice for her father. He lost his life while saving a person from the Dalit community, she said. Abhimanyu Pawar, who was an aide of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis before he became MLA from Ausa in neighbouring Latur district, said the pain caused by Deshmukh's murder was felt in different parts of Maharashtra. "Even if I am part of the (ruling) dispensation, I want to tell the government that if the accused are not arrested, protests will reach other parts of the state. We want justice for the family of Santosh Deshmukh," he said. BJP MLA Dhas alleged that Munde, the Food and Civil Supplies Minister, won assembly election from Parli in Beed district with the help of bogus votes. Notably, the Nationalist Congress Party to which Munde belongs is part of the ruling BJP-led Mahayuti coalition. Prakash Solanke, an MLA from the NCP, said some of the accused were still at large even 19 days after the murder, and Walmik Karad too had not been arrested. Dhananjay Munde was the guardian minister of Beed for four of the last five years and until the accused are convicted, Munde should be dropped from the state cabinet so that there is an impartial probe, Solanke said. The Majalgaon constituency which he represents has collected Rs 40 lakh for the Deshmukh family, he informed. Quota activist Jarange said the Maratha community will not keep quiet till the deceased (who belonged to the Maratha community) got justice.
