US stocks rallied, led by the Dow Jones, after Scott Bessent's nomination to run the Treasury Deparment. Bessent is seen as a stabilizing, pro-market force that could counter some of Trump's inflationary policies. Investors are eyeing key data releases in the holiday-shortened trading week, including PCE and GDP data. US stocks extended their rally on Monday, led by the Dow Jones Industrial Average , which surged 440 points and closed at a record. The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq Composite also gained. The small-cap Russell 2000 jumped 1.7% to an all-time high. Investors cheered President-elect Donald Trump's pick for Treasury Secretary, former hedge fund manager Scott Bessent. The pick of Bessent sparked a sell-off in the US dollar, Treasury yields, and gold as Wall Street expects him to pursue pro-market policies that help spur economic growth and limit inflation. The former global macro investor is seen as a pro-market, stabilizing force that could counter some of Trump's plans that could stoke inflation or further balloon the deficit. Bond yields dropped as investors saw Bessent's nomination as lowering the potential for a spike in inflation in 2025 and beyond. The 10-year Treasury yield plunged 14 basis points to 4.268%. "The choice of Scott Bessent as Treasury secretary seems to have allayed major fiscal concerns," economist James Reilly of Capital Economics said. Reports say Bessent pitched the 3-3-3 plan to Trump earlier this year, which was received favorably. The plan refers to three targets: cut the budget deficit to 3% of gross domestic product by 2028, spur annual GDP growth to 3% via deregulation, and produce an additional 3 million barrels of oil per day. He has also floated the idea of gradually implementing tariffs to avoid causing a sudden, painful spike in inflation. "Bessent as Treasury Secretary lends substantial economic and market credibility to the cabinet," Fundstrat's head of research Tom Lee said, adding that his role will be a positive for market dynamics heading into 2025. Meanwhile, it's a busy week for economic data despite the shortened holiday week. Investors will get initial jobless claims, a third-quarter GDP revision, and personal consumption expenditures data on Wednesday morning, as the stock market is closed on Thursday in observance of Thanksgiving. Economists expect initial jobless claims to come in at 215,000, and third-quarter GDP growth to be 2.8%, while PCE inflation data is expected to be the same as last month at 0.2% on a month-over-month basis. Here's where US indexes stood at the 4:00 p.m. closing bell on Monday: S&P 500 : 5,987.29, up 0.3% Dow Jones Industrial Average : 44,736.57, up 0.99% (+440.06 points) Nasdaq composite : 19,054.84, up 0.27% Here's what else is going on: UBS said Tesla stock could plunge 35% because the Trump-fueled rally isn't supported by fundamentals. A century-old land owner in Texas is seeing its stock surge thanks to an AI-fueled data center boom. Economists say Trump's immigration plans could deepen US demographic challenges. The stock market's back-to-back gains of more than 20% sets 2025 up for another big rally, Ryan Detrick said. The stock market could be a key check on Donald Trump's agenda during his second term in office. Here's what a strategic bitcoin reserve could mean for the price of the cryptocurrency. The rise of passive investing in the stock market could lead to more volatile trades during risk-off periods. Gold declined 3.07% to $2,628.80 an ounce. The 10-year Treasury yield dropped 14 basis points to 4.268%. Bitcoin fell 3.48% to $94,605.
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (AP) — Tua Tagovailoa doesn't want to take chances with his family's safety, so the Miami Dolphins’ star quarterback hired personal security when one of his cars was broken into about a year ago. "(It was) a little too close for my comfort with my family being in the house,” Tagovailoa said Wednesday. “So we got personal security to take care of all of that. When we're on the road, we've got someone with my wife, got someone also at the house, surveying the house.” Tagovailoa, speaking days after the home of Cincinnati quarterback Joe Burrow was broken into while the Bengals were playing a Monday night game at Dallas, also noted his security is armed, "so I hope that if you decide to go to my house, you think twice.” Burrow's home was the latest targeted in a string of burglaries of pro athletes' homes in the U.S., which included the homes of Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. Mahomes' and Kelce's homes were broken into in October, prompting the NFL to issue a security alert to teams and the players' union warning that the houses of numerous pro athletes were “increasingly targeted for burglaries by organized and skilled groups," according to a memo previously obtained by The Associated Press. Law enforcement officials noted these groups target the homes on days the athletes have games. Players were told to take precautions and implement home security measures to reduce the risk of being targeted. Tagovailoa's personal security has been in place since long before this string of break-ins. No one was injured in the Monday night break-in at Burrow's home, but it was ransacked, according to a report provided by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office. In the NBA , Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis had his home broken into Nov. 2 and Minnesota Timberwolves guard Mike Conley Jr.’s home was burglarized on Sept. 15 while he was at a Minnesota Vikings game. Portis had offered a $40,000 reward for information, and the NBA later issued its own memo revealing that the FBI has connected some burglaries to “transnational South American Theft Groups” that are “reportedly well-organized, sophisticated rings that incorporate advanced techniques and technologies, including pre-surveillance, drones, and signal jamming devices.” Some of the groups have conducted extensive surveillance on targets, including attempted home deliveries and posing as grounds maintenance or joggers in the neighborhood, according to officials. Tagovailoa, who just signed an extension with the Dolphins last offseason, said he doesn't necessarily feel like a target, "but I wouldn't want to play the chances with my family and kids sleeping, my wife sleeping, me sleeping at the house.” AP NFL: https://apnews.com/hub/nflNone
NoneWhile it really is nice to be wanted in life, the same cannot be said in Starfield . If you have a bounty on you from any of the factions, a whole lot of bounty hunters will show up trying to cash in. The good news is that you can get rid of the bounties without too much issue if you know where to go. Starfield bounty kiosk location guide The future is largely controlled and organized through kiosks in Starfield . This applies to bounties as well as almost everything else. Below, you can find an ever-growing list of bounty clearance kiosk locations where you can wipe away your sins for just a handful of credits. You might even find The Hunter chilling out near one of them. If you wish to avoid a bounty in the first place, then make sure nobody sees you stealing, assaulting an NPC, hacking doors or safes, pickpocketing goods from people, or trespassing somewhere you shouldn’t be. You should also be incredibly careful with your abilities. I used the anti-gravity ability in New Atlantis by accident, and it ended up costing me over 160,000 Credits. So, don’t have any fun, basically. You can check if you have a bounty on you by opening your star map and looking at the top right of the screen. Any bounty in that space will be listed there, along with the value of it. It should also be noted the new Shattered Space DLC doesn’t seem to have any bounty kiosks available, meaning you’ll have to clear them out elsewhere. During your travels, be wary of any hostile environments like Serpentis and Kryx, as they will most likely attack on-site. I recommend avoiding these pathways altogether if you’re looking for easy access t o bounty kiosks in Starfield . But, if you don’t mind a little trouble, come prepared with the best weapons and tools for your ship . When you touch down on Jemison’s landing pad, go forward to the central area filled with various shops. Look to the left of the spiral structure to spot the Viewport building. Head inside the Viewport Bar’s main entryway on the left side of Jemison Mercantile. The Self-Service Bounty Clearance machine will be right next to the bar. The good news about Akila City is that it really is just like the old west, and a bit of cash can solve all your problems. From the landing pad, head straight into town, and you will see a bright red sign for the Hitching Post bar. It’ll be across from the Shepherd’s General Store. Go inside to find the Bounty Clearance Kiosk next to the bartender and a small “Bar” sign. In orbit near Akila, you can find the Trident Luxury Lines Staryard. Approach the ship and look for its port to begin docking. Head right down the corridor after you board, and you will find the bounty kiosk on the right side near the main reception area. Also, keep in mind that Trident doesn’t sell any parts or ships at the Trident Staryard. Make your way into Cydonia, down the main corridor through the hanging barrier, and then look to the right to find the Broken Spear Bar. Once you go through the bar entryway, you’ll see another kiosk station to the left. Go to the Deimos Staryard in orbit above the Deimos moon of Mars. Head inside, down the first corridor, and then to the left to find the bounty kiosk. It’ll be right next to the Deimos Sales Computer. This is also a pretty solid shipyard to build at if you are at a high enough level, providing better ship weapons in the game. Make your way to Neon and then head to the elevator to reach the upper floor. After going up, take a right and continue going forward until you get to the very end. Here, you’ll see the Astral Lounge. Go up the stairs and enter the Trade Tower: Astral Lounge doorway. The bounty kiosk will be easy to spot, right by the entrance. At the landing pad, look for the Trade Authority Kiosk. Just beyond that, with one of the worst signs ever, is the Pit Stop Bar. Head inside to find the Bounty Clearance kiosk on the left, near a poster with the words, “Shut up and Drink.” If all your factions are hostile due to bad behavior, your best bet is to use a Civilian Outpost bounty kiosk. These outposts can pop up on various planets, such as the far side of Jemison. They will often have a bounty board and a mission board for you to use if you want to grab a mission or pay off a bounty on your way through. Planets with Civilian Outposts seem to be randomly generated, so not everyone will have the exact coordinates. Before landing on a planet, you can check to see if it has an outpost with its house icon. You’ll likely find a bounty kiosk somewhere within this facility. Explore the galaxy to find more Civilian Outposts, giving you additional kiosks to utilize. How to clear bounties in Starfield To remove a bounty, all you need to do is find one of the kiosks and interact with it. If you have an active bounty, you will be prompted to pay the fine. For example, when I first tried out the machine, I was greeted with a 350 credit bounty for Neon. Those who cause havoc in multiple places will need to pay bounties off individually with each Faction. You’ll have a choice on which ones you want to pay off when on the ‘Which Faction would you like us to contact on your behalf?’ page. Keep in mind that you will need to be in a system that is not controlled by the faction that has placed a bounty on you. They won’t let you pay it off in their own territory. Extra charges may also apply to completely clear your bounties. In particular, my bounty for Neon was listed for 350 credits, but the total cost came out to 385 credits. It’s not a whole lot of extra cash, so it shouldn’t be too overwhelming with this small convenience fee. However, you should still be prepared as they can get expensive depending on your crimes. After you’ve paid it off, your criminal record with a specific region will be cleared. You may even see a message from the Starfield bounty kiosks that states, “Our records indicate that you are not wanted by any Faction within the Settled Systems at this time.” Hats off to you for being such a good citizen. If you don’t want to spend the credits, you can go to jail, although this will slightly reduce your current XP level. You also lose any stolen goods you have on you, and considering I stole my precious cowboy hat , that is just not an option for me. Additionally, you can try to bribe your way out of any situation, which is usually pretty cheap. That won’t actually get rid of the bounty; it just leaves you free to get arrested another day.None

Bello's 20 lead Purdue Fort Wayne past Drexel 87-81The mystery surrounding at least one of the unexplained drones causing Americans to look toward the night sky in recent days was solved late Saturday evening, when Boston police arrested two men for allegedly flying their unmanned aerial device too close to Logan Airport. According to police, 42-year-old Robert Duffy of Charlestown and 32-year-old Jeremy Folcik of Bridgewater were arrested Saturday on Long Island, after officials noticed the drone on their monitoring systems. “The incident began earlier that evening, at 4:30 p.m., when a Boston Police Officer specializing in real-time crime surveillance detected an Unmanned Aircraft System operating dangerously close to Logan International Airport. Leveraging advanced UAS monitoring technology, the Officer identified the drone’s location, altitude, flight history, and the operators’ position on Long Island,” the Boston Police Department said in a Sunday statement. After rallying officials from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the Massachusetts State Police, the Joint Terrorism Task Force, the Federal Communications Commission, and Logan Airport Air Traffic Control, the Boston Police Harbor Patrol Unit was dispatched to the Boston Harbor Islands, where they allegedly found Duffy and Folcik, along with another man on the closed Long Island Health campus. All three attempted to flee on foot, according to police, but the arrested pair were caught and a drone found in their possession. The third man, according to police, is “believed to have fled the island in a small vessel.” Police say that all three were engaging in seriously dangerous behavior. “Operators are prohibited from flying drones over people or vehicles and must be aware of airspace restrictions. Even small drones pose significant risks, including the potential for catastrophic damage to airplanes and helicopters. Near-collisions can cause pilots to veer off course, putting lives and property at risk,” they said. Both Duffy and Folcik will appear in Dorchester District Court on charges of trespassing, police said. It wasn’t clear what the suspects’ intentions were. This is a developing story and it will be updated.
