Lidija Petrić, a full professor at the Faculty of Economics, Business, and Tourism, University of Split, Croatia, boasts a wealth of experience in her primary areas of scientific interest, which include tourism economics, tourism in regional and urban development, destination management and planning, and cultural tourism. Her extensive portfolio includes numerous scientific and professional papers, studies, reviews, conference papers, and books, all of which she has authored as the main author or co-author.

Dr. Petrić's influence extends beyond her academic role. She has actively participated in professional and scientific conferences, seminars, and postgraduate studies as a guest lecturer. Through her collaborations with international associations such as UNDP, UNESCO, GEF, WWF, and UNEP, as well as public bodies from national to local levels and non-governmental institutions, she has successfully participated in and coordinated numerous projects.

Dr. Petrić is a renowned researcher who has been involved in various tourism-related projects funded by the EU. One of her notable contributions was her participation in the HORIZON 2020 Smart CulTour Project (http://www.smartcultour.eu/), where she served as both a researcher and a team leader for one of the work packages. Furthermore, she is a member of the editorial boards of multiple scientific journals and serves on the scientific committees of several international conferences.

Dr. Petrić is a member of several esteemed organisations, including the European Regional Science Association (ERSA), the Scientific Committee for Tourism and Space at the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, and the Croatian National Committee for UNESCO.
