I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here host Declan Donnelly gave his daughter the dream day at work with daddy. The six-year-old joined her father on the set of the hit reality show yesterday morning as he continues his work in the Australian jungle. Isla joined her dad on set and spent her morning playing with members of the ITV crew as well as hanging out in Dec's lavish dressing room which boasts a sofa, bathroom and television to watch the show. Isla watched Dec, 49, and his co-host Ant McPartlin present their aftershow live to thousands of viewers on social media and even joined the fun by interrupting "Uncle Ant" to shout "Toast!" as he showed slices of it to the camera, to which he responded: "Yes Isla, toast." The outing came after Friday's episode saw viewers pointing out huge blunders throughout show. On several occasions, celebrities appeared in the Bush telegraph to talk to the camera, but the wrong name flashed up on screen. In one instance Love Island's Maura Higgins appeared on screen alongside the writing for Melvin Odoom, TV presenter and DJ. Another showed McFly's Danny Jones incorrectly named as Radio 1 DJ Dean McCullough. And fans quickly mocked the mishap on Twitter /X. One user jibed: "The editing team tonight need to be fired. they've mixed up campmates names several times. #imacelebrity #ImACeleb." Another noted: "Issues with names tonight Danny was Dean and Maura was Melvin #ImACeleb #imaceleb2024," while a third wrote: "What’s happening with the names today??? Danny was in the telegraph apparently it was Dean and Maura was Melvin. @imacelebrity #ImACeleb #imaceleb2024" Posting the images alongside each other, another joked: "The names are cracking me up. Dean and Melvin look different! @imacelebrity @antanddec #ImACeleb" During Friday's edition of the show, fans were all concerned that Dean McCullough would spoil a major secret in the jungle. Earlier in the week, Love Island contestant Maura Higgins and The Communards star Reverend Richard Coles joined the show in the Jungle Junkyard. They were kept separate from the main camp and were seemingly going without any luxuries, not even beds. However, they were lapping up the luxury and had to try to fool the other contestants. After the most recent Bushtucker Trial, Dean joined Maura and Richard in the separate camp and fans were wary he was going to ruin their secret. Taking to X, many shared their fears, with one writing: "Dean will ruin the junkyard lie and ruin it for everyone, i fear. He couldn’t keep the teabags a secret when Tulisa/Melvin had salt and no one knew until she gave it up #imaceleb." Companies tighten security after a health care CEO’s killing leads to a surge of threatsThe Fiji players were praised by Ireland fans online and in the stadium for their gesture prior to Saturday’s Autumn Nations Series clash. As part of the pre-kick-off festivities, President Michael D Higgins was on hand for the usual presidential welcome. With the red carpet rolled out on the Aviva turf, President Higgins started with the 23 assembled members of the Fiji squad as he worked his way up the line towards the Irish players. As he shook the hands of the visiting team, however, many of their players took the time to kneel down and bow in a moment of respect. The gesture was received warmly by the fans at Lansdowne Road, with polite applause coming up in response from the stands. Over on social media , there was a lot of love for the visiting Fijians and their quiet mark of respect. Something lovely about the respect shown by the Fiji players towards Uachtaráin Michael D. Higgins. #IREvFIJ | #AutumnNationsSeries pic.twitter.com/3QLvLPza3u One fan summed it up in one word: ‘Beautiful’. ‘There’s something wonderfully heartwarming at the respect Fiji are showing Michael D,’ said another. A fellow user added: ‘So impressive, that kind of humility and respect is rare. Especially from guys who will be trying to build a new road through Prendergast in a few minutes.’ The Fiji squad had already been getting accustomed to Irish life during their time in Dublin after they popped up at a GAA club in Castleknock. More info Archibald Thomson Hall left prison in 1975 and used a new alias to climb the social ladder, eventually becoming one of Scotland’s most notorious serial killers. After spending much of his teen years committing a series of thefts in London, he was arrested at the age of 17. On release from jail, he changed his name to Roy Fontaine - inspired by Joan Fontaine, the star of the 1940 Alfred Hitchcock film Rebecca. He then found work as a butler and mixed with the rich and famous of the time. Now able to get into the grandest houses around the country, ‘Roy’ mingled with the likes of composer Ivor Novello, Lord Mountbatten and playwright Terrence Rattigan, reports Glasgow Live. Hall began working for Margaret Hudson, widower of Tory MP, Sir Austin Hudson. Initially planning to steal her valuables, he changed his mind after realising he was a fan of his employer and the butler job. His first kill came at the Hudson house, when his friend from jail and ex-lover David Wright showed up on the estate and got a job as a gamekeeper. Wright stole some of Mrs Hudson’s jewellery, and threatened to tell her about Hall’s criminal past if he told on him. Taking him out into the fields under the premise of going on a rabbit hunt, Hall shot Wright dead and buried him next to a stream. Shortly afterwards, he found a new role in London working as a butler for Labour MP Walter Scott-Elliot and his wife Dorothy. After an initial plan to rob the couple, he ended up killing them both after Dorothy walked in on him discussing his plans with an accomplice - Michael Kitto. The men packed the bodies into a car and drove them up to Scotland, burying Dorothy in Perthshire and her husband near Tomich. They were assisted by the Scott-Elliot’s housekeeper, Mary Coggle, but they decided to kill her too. Mary had discovered some of Dorothy’s expensive clothes and jewellery, and was risking all three of them being exposed so Hall killed her with a poker , and left her body in Dumfriesshire. Hall’s final kill came when his half-brother Donald was released from jail. He tied him to a chair and used chloroform to knock him out - before drowning him in the bath. It was disposing of Donald’s body that ultimately saw Hall’s murder spree come to an end. Heading to North Berwick in East Lothian, Hall and accomplice Kitto checked into the Blenheim House Hotel. However, their shifty movements made the receptionist concerned, and he quickly The pair were taken in for questioning - and the cops checked their car, discovering Donald’s body in the trunk. Cops traced the car to the Scott-Elliots’ address, and on arrival at the property discovered the apartment robbed and blood spattered. This led them on to link the men with the murder of Mary, whose body had already been found. Hall eventually confessed to the whereabouts of all the bodies, and was convicted of the murders , with both men given a life sentence. The Belfast Telegraph told readers of his sentencing in May 1978, reporting the judges words: “Having regard to your cold-blooded behaviour and undoubted leadership in these dreadful matters, I recommended that you shall not be considered for parole during the rest of your natural life .” In 1999, Hall published his autobiography titled A Perfect Gentleman, explaining how he conned his way into high class homes and carried out cold blooded murders . Two years later - in September 2002, he died of a stroke at Kingston Prison at the age of 78. Get the latest news sent straight to your messages by joining our WhatsApp community today. A drone photo shows the Rulong Bridge, a wooden arch bridge, in Qingyuan County of Lishui City. — Xinhua photo BEIJING (Dec 10): Hu Junfeng takes pride in using his civil engineering skills to document the wealth of knowledge his father has amassed over four decades on building Chinese wooden arch bridges. Traditional design and practices for building Chinese wooden arch bridges were added Thursday to its Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco). This stitched aerial drone photo shows the Wan’an Bridge, a wooden arch bridge, in Changqiao Township of Pingnan County, southeast China’s Fujian Province. — Xinhua photo The wooden arch bridges, found mostly in eastern China’s Fujian and Zhejiang provinces, are built without a single metal nail or rivet. Instead, they rely solely on intricately fitted wooden structures. A traditional Chinese-style timber superstructure tops the bridge, featuring a grand roof that adds weight and bolsters the structure’s stability. According to Unesco, the traditional design and practices for building these bridges involve the use of wood and traditional architectural tools, and they combine craftsmanship, the core technologies of “beam-weaving” and mortise and tenon joints, as well as an experienced woodworker’s understanding of different environments and the necessary structural mechanics. “This signifies that the protection, inheritance and promotion of China’s traditional wooden arch bridge craftsmanship have gained global recognition,” said Hu Junfeng’s father Hu Miao, who has dedicated over 40 years to preserving the traditional skill. Hu Miao, a national-level representative inheritor of the traditional wooden arch bridge construction skills, was born into a family of carpenters. Hu Miao said that they constructed and renovated 25 such bridges. His craftsmanship attracted his son, who had previously worked in Shanghai for three years, to return to Qingyuan County, Lishui City of Zhejiang Province in 2022 to inherit the skills. This photo shows the Luanfeng Bridge, a wooden arch bridge, in Xiadang Township of Shouning County, southeast China’s Fujian Province. — Xinhua photo Wooden arch bridges serve as hubs for gatherings, entertainment, trade and other social activities. Locals often hold events like weddings, funerals and birthdays on these bridges. “During the Dragon Boat Festival, locals believe that the more times one crosses the bridge, the more prosperous their life will become, expressing hope for the future,” said Lu Zeqi, an intangible cultural heritage expert in Pingnan County, Ningde City of Fujian Province. Hu’s family is part of a thriving bridge conservation community in Zhejiang. The province now hosts 11 teams dedicated to wood arch bridge craftsmanship, comprising over 170 members. They have constructed and restored more than 80 such bridges. First inscribed in 2009 on the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding, the tradition had declined over the years due to rapid urbanization, scarcity of lumber and lack of available construction space, all of which could threaten its transmission and survival, according to Unesco. In 2016, Typhoon Meranti ruined three wooden arch bridges in Zhejiang. It served as a reminder to the public of the importance of protecting and restoring these treasures, and the need to pass down the craftsmanship of bridge building. An aerial drone photo taken on Jan. 23, 2024 shows the Yonggui Bridge, a wooden arch bridge, after snowfall in Qingyuan County of Lishui City. — Xinhua photo Zhejiang has established a themed museum, included information on the bridges in primary school curricula, organized academic seminars, and produced TV documentaries to showcase the history, craftsmanship and culture of the bridges. “Unesco’s recognition marks a transition from ‘endangered’ to ‘revival’ for the craft, signifying an endorsement of our conservation efforts,” said Chen Huawen, a professor at Zhejiang Normal University. Gabriella Bonino, an Italian sinologist, said she once visited craftsmen behind wooden arch bridges, feeling the depth of their traditional skills and admiring the way these arts are inherited through generations. The reflection of local customs is valuable and should be recognized globally. Suman Prasai, a Nepali student at Lishui University, once learned about the building of wood arcade bridges from the Hu family in October. He told Xinhua that “knowing that these skills are now safe and will continue for future generations makes me feel proud and hopeful. It’s a big success for preserving culture in today’s fast-changing world. Walking across it, I could feel the connection between art and nature.” “Unesco’s recognition shows how much effort has been made to protect and pass down the traditional skills of building Chinese wooden arch bridges. These bridges are not just for crossing. They carry stories, history, and amazing craftsmanship,” said Prasai. Apart from being a source of livelihood for woodworkers, the bridges, along with the traditional techniques and knowledge used to build them, have boosted the development of relevant cultural and creative industries. “I’ve enjoyed making ‘wooden arch bridges’ with chopsticks since childhood. Amazingly, with just 15 chopsticks, I could build a ‘bridge’ capable of supporting more than 1 kg,” said Hu Junfeng. A drone photo taken on Oct. 18, 2023 shows workers working on the restoration of the Wan’an Bridge, a wooden arch bridge, in Changqiao Township of Pingnan County. — Xinhua photo Now the chopsticks have been transformed into 3D puzzles and models, as well as other cultural and creative products, showing customers the structure and techniques of bridge building. “Wooden arch bridges, iconic symbols of China’s architectural arts, reflect the essence of master craftsmanship and have turned into popular tourist destinations. With the AI technology, we can create featured products and immersive experiences that go beyond the bridges themselves,” said Chen Shaofeng, a Peking University professor and vice head of the China Culture Promotion Association. — XinhuaSouth Korea's President Yoon Suk Yeol was banned Monday from travelling abroad, the justice ministry said, less than a week after he plunged the country into chaos by briefly imposing martial law. Yoon sent special forces and helicopters to parliament on the night of December 3 before lawmakers forced him to rescind the order by rejecting his decree. The unpopular leader narrowly survived an impeachment motion in parliament Saturday even as huge crowds braved freezing temperatures to call for his ouster. Despite remaining in office, a clutch of investigations has been closing in on Yoon and his close allies, including a probe for alleged insurrection. The ministry of justice confirmed on Monday that Yoon had become the first sitting South Korean president to be banned from leaving the country. A lawmaker was asked at a Monday parliamentary hearing whether Yoon had been banned from international travel. "Yes, that's right," replied Bae Sang-up, an immigration services commissioner at the ministry. Also under travel bans for their roles in last week's events are former defence minister Kim Yong-hyun -- currently in detention -- and ex-interior minister Lee Sang-min. General Park An-su, the officer in charge of the martial law operation, and defence counterintelligence commander Yeo In-hyung are also barred from leaving South Korea. Investigators hauled Park in for further questioning Monday, and Yonhap news agency reported that prosecutors had asked for a warrant for Kim's formal arrest. The impeachment push failed to pass after members of Yoon's own People Power Party (PPP) walked out of parliament, depriving it of the necessary two-thirds majority. The PPP says that in exchange, the 63-year-old Yoon has agreed to hand power to the prime minister and party chief, prompting howls of protest from the opposition. "This is an unlawful, unconstitutional act of a second insurrection and a second coup," Democratic Party floor leader Park Chan-dae said. Under South Korea's constitution, the president remains head of government and commander in chief of the army unless he or she is incapacitated, resigns or steps down. In such a case, power would then be handed to the prime minister on an interim basis until elections could be held. Claiming Yoon can remain in office but has delegated his powers to the prime minister and leader of his ruling PPP -- who is not an elected official -- is "a blatant constitutional violation with no legal basis", Park said. "Their attitude of placing themselves above the constitution mirrors that of insurrectionist Yoon Suk Yeol," he said. South Korea's ally the United States indicated it would still deal with Yoon but said it "will keep lines of communication open with all relevant parties". "President Yoon is the president of Korea, and the political process in Korea will play out, as it should, under Korea's laws and Korea's constitution," State Department spokesman Matthew Miller told reporters. The defence ministry confirmed Monday that the embattled Yoon still oversees the country's security apparatus, despite the apparent power vacuum in a country that remains technically at war with nuclear-armed North Korea. "Legally, (control of military forces) currently lies with the commander in chief," defence ministry spokesperson Jeon Ha-kyou said. Yoon has apologised for "anxiety and inconvenience" caused by his declaration of martial law but has not stepped down, saying instead he would entrust decisions about his fate to his party. He also said he would accept all political and legal responsibility for the martial law fiasco. There is no constitutional basis supporting the ruling party's claim that Yoon can stay in office but hand over his power to unelected party officials, said Kim Hae-won, a constitutional law professor at Pusan National University Law School. "It seems to resemble an unconstitutional soft coup," he told AFP. "If there are issues with the president, there are ways laid out in the constitution such as suspending the president from his duties, and then move on to proceedings set out in the constitution, such as impeachment," he said. The opposition has already said they would try again to impeach Yoon, with leader Lee Jae-myung saying another vote would be held Saturday. burs-stu/ceb/bgs-sct/mlmhe Shrivardhan Assembly Constituency is expected to witness a tight race when the counting of votes in Maharashtra begins on November 23. Incumbent Aditi Tatkare, the current Women and Child Development Minister will be contesting on an NCP ticket but faces tough competition from NCP(SP) candidate Anil Dattaram Navgane. This year’s contest is expected to be a high-profile battle between two prominent political figures from the NCP. Incumbent Aditi Tatkare, the current Women and Child Development Minister will be contesting on an NCP ticket. She faces a challenge from Anil Dattaram Navgane, a candidate from NCP (SP). President Yoon banned from leaving South KoreaALBANY ‒ Sometimes finding the perfect gift for an avid hunter or angler can be difficult. The Georgia Department of Natural Resources Wildlife Resources Division has a few suggestions that will allow hunters on any Christmas list to enjoy the outdoor activities they love, regardless of age and experience. The gift of a youth license, a lifetime license or an annual hunting or fishing are all great examples of how to give access to the great outdoors and provide support for Georgia wildlife and state-managed lands. While a lifetime license purchase includes a free durable license card, you can put any annual license on a beautiful “collector’s hard card” (a credit card-sized durable license card) giving you the perfect stocking stuffer or wrap-able gift. The Youth Sportsman’s License for $15 makes a great gift for resident youths under age 16 and offers a gift valued at $70. This license provides both hunting and fishing privileges, and is good through age 17, giving them a full year sportsman’s license once they reach age 16 (when they are required to have a license). With a lifetime license, the Georgia resident hunter or angler on your gift list will never need to purchase another state hunting or fishing license ... ever. From hunting trophy whitetails to casting for lunker largemouth, their cherished recreation in Georgia is covered. Depending upon their recreational activity, they may need additional no-cost licenses or a harvest record. Visit GeorgiaWildlife.com/LifetimeLicense for applications and more details on the privileges available with a lifetime license. Can’t purchase a lifetime license? How about giving an annual or two-year license to that hunter or angler? Even if they already have a current license, if you purchase a same-type license, it will “stack” onto their existing one. The Wildlife Resources Division uses hunting and fishing license sales to fulfill its wildlife mission. The sale of paid licenses is a key measure through which states receive federal Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration funding, meaning more license sales potentially means more conservation funding. Uses of this funding in Georgia vary from operating public fishing areas to managing the state’s 1 million-strong deer herd. There is now lots of great “Go Outdoors Georgia” merchandise available for your recreational enthusiast as well. From tumblers, to hats, to backpacks and coolers – add some items to your cart with your license purchase. Be sure to order early to get items in time for the holidays. More information on licenses is available at GeorgiaWildlife.com/licenses-permits-passes , and purchase a youth, annual or two-year license at GoOutdoorsGeorgia.com as well as a catalog of available merchandise.

Justice is supposed to be blind. But in the case of Luigi Mangione – the 26-year-old American who allegedly shot dead health insurance company CEO Brian Thompson in New York last week – it had its eyes wide open. Wide open and ogling: not long after Mangione’s arrest (in the appropriately American environs of a McDonald’s) the internet exploded with memes about how good-looking he is. The eyes have it: Images from Pennsylvania State Police showing Luigi Mangione at a McDonald’s in Altoona on December 9, where he was arrested and later charged with murder. Credit: AP It really is the (alleged) murder for the moment – executed on a midtown Manhattan street and instantly transformed into viral internet fodder, with the alleged perpetrator’s social media footprint mined to feed the relentless content beast. Mangione is an all-American princeling: Ivy League-educated, brawny and brainy. It was his distinctive full eyebrows that did him in – security camera footage of the suspect shows a pair of fine eyes and strong brows, framed by a COVID mask and a black hoodie. Days later, as he ate his hash brown in a Pennsylvania McDonald’s, his eyes helped a member of the public to identify him and phone him in. On social media, Jonathan Ness from the Queer Eye for a Straight Guy TV show joked that their next season could be devoted to Mangione, for a straight-guy makeover. But, Ness said, don’t worry – “the brows, [I] would never touch”. Memes proliferated about his hotness, with “If he’s fit, you must acquit” being just one example of the kind of thing being posted. There were shirtless photos, verbal accounts from his friends (who say he is lovely) and reports that he had suffered from terrible back pain, for which he had endured a spinal operation in June. The bullets that killed Thompson on December 4 were inscribed with the words “Deny”, “Defend” and “Depose”. This seems to be a reference to the reported behind-doors strategy of US health insurers, who use these tactics to not pay out insurance claims to patients, thereby maximising their profits. The “manifesto” reportedly found in Mangione’s backpack was a soup of anti-capitalist vigilantism and motherhood-statement morality about corporate America. It is shocking that an alleged murderer should be celebrated in this way, but not at all surprising. Gun violence in America is quotidian. It is a country with a long history of vigilantism. It also has a history of public fascination with killers possessing (alleged) sex appeal, from Charles Manson to the more recent case of the Menendez brothers . The lawlessness and moral glibness of the internet is the flipside to the United States’ culture of individual freedom. In a perfectly American twist, the anti-capitalist crusader has been exploited for merchandising opportunities. T-shirts, hoodies, tote bags and mugs bearing Mangione’s image are available online. But we can’t blame the internet – we must look at why there is a market for Mangione merch, and why ordinary people, including those who presumably don’t have homicidal tendencies themselves, would cheer on a murderer. It doesn’t hurt that he’s beautiful. There is also the widespread rage many share over his cause. The US health insurance industry is a multibillion-dollar profit giant, funded by the sickness of the American people. Stories of its institutional cruelty are legion. Just this week it was reported that a different health insurer, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, had quietly announced it would impose time limits on anaesthesia during certain surgeries, in certain states . The company later backed down in the face of a public outcry. A paper by the Commonwealth Fund (an American research body dedicated to promoting “a high-performing, equitable healthcare system”) states that healthcare spending in the US, both per person and as a share of GDP, is “far higher” than other high-income countries. A poster depicting Mangione outside the Hilton Midtown Hotel in New York. Credit: AP But Americans are getting sicker. According to the Commonwealth Fund, “people in the United States experience the worst health outcomes overall of any high-income nation”. They are more likely to die younger, from avoidable causes, than people in peer countries. They have higher maternal and infant mortality rates, the highest rate of people with multiple chronic conditions among peer countries, and an obesity rate nearly twice the OECD average. Another Commonwealth Fund paper reported that “media investigations have found that insurers are becoming increasingly adept in using technology to deny payment of medical claims and pressure their company physicians to deny care during prior authorisation reviews”. It has been reported that UnitedHealthcare has the highest claim-denial rate (32 per cent) of all the private insurance companies. The Manhattan shooting can be read as a cautionary tale illustrating the far-reaching consequences of economic inequality (not to mention a moment to give quiet thanks for the taxpayer-funded universal healthcare we enjoy in Australia). But the tasteless cheering over the assassination – a defenceless man shot in the back with no warning – is something more than that. It is a nihilistic expression of the hopelessness of American politics as a remedy for anything, not even something so fundamental as access to healthcare. President-elect Donald Trump has at least named the problem of America’s bad-health epidemic. But his tonic is his nominee to head the federal Department of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy Jr – an anti-vaxxer who advocates cooking in beef tallow (a heart disease-inducing saturated fat) because he says the seed-oil industry is poisoning us. Trump told Time magazine this week that he and RFK Jr will discuss ending some child vaccination programs . Trump suggested vaccines might be responsible for autism, a dangerous myth that has been widely debunked. In the embittered, conspiracy-laced realm of online radicalisation, there are no crucial distinctions between left and right. Instead, there is bipartisan agreement that politicians won’t help, and that democracy is an inefficient vehicle for generating social solutions. In the face of such nihilism, it doesn’t matter that violence only breeds more violence, and that Luigi Mangione will soon be last month’s meme, just another pretty person to scroll past. New Jersey Police Break With FBI: Disagree 'No Known Threat' From DronesI'm obsessed with my air fryer, and I've used it to cook dishes from to . To put the appliance to the test, I decided to try making a week's worth of dinners in my . Here's what I will and won't be making again. The I found from food blogger Melanie Cooks couldn't be more straightforward. First, I chopped the eggplant into 1-inch cubes. Then, I tossed them in olive oil, garlic powder, red pepper, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. I placed my seasoned cubes into the preheated air fryer at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes, shaking halfway through. I'd make this again as a side dish This was my first time cooking eggplant, and I thought the dish turned out surprisingly well. The bites were flavorful and a bit crispy — not overly mushy, which can happen often with eggplant dishes. Overall, this was super easy to make and delicious, just not super filling. I'd make it again as a side for a heartier main course. Food blogger said these were the "best hot dogs" I would ever make. I was skeptical about , but I loved not having to boil them and deal with the gross-smelling water that results from that. After preheating the air fryer to 390 degrees Fahrenheit, I made a few shallow cuts on the hot dogs to prevent them from inflating or exploding. Next, I put them in the air fryer for six minutes. I also toasted my buns in the air fryer. These hot dogs were great The buns were the true game changer. Before this, I'd eat my hot dogs with untoasted buns because I found them difficult to crisp properly in a regular toaster. But, after just a few minutes in the air fryer, they were perfect for the well-cooked hot dogs. I will definitely make this recipe again. I loosely followed a recipe from the blogger l, who wrote you could make this pizza in the oven for 10 minutes and get the same results as doing so in the air fryer. This recipe calls for premade crust, but I used a frozen pizza as my base. Fortunately, this wasn't an issue. My air-fryer baskets are small, so I had to cut my pizza before cooking it. I put the pizza in the air fryer for about six to seven minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. The crust cooked quickly. Then, I followed the directions like it was a plain crust and topped it with slices of mozzarella and tomato. The recipe said to use Campari tomatoes, but I used cherry ones. They were so small that they slid off my pizza while it heated up in the air fryer. Still, I popped my pizza slices back into the air-fryer baskets and cooked them for five or so minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. The cheese quickly melted, and I topped my slices with fresh basil and olive oil. The finished product came out tasty, with good texture and flavor I liked how crispy the crust turned out, and the pizza had a nice flavor. Although this was delicious, it was more complicated than just placing a whole pizza in the oven. My air-fryer baskets are small, so I had to cook four slices at a time instead of an entire pie at once. I'm sure it'd be just as tasty with a plain crust, too. Even so, it seemed unnecessary to use an air fryer instead of my oven. Food blog requires only bone-in, skin-on chicken (trimmed) and some spices. I shook my chicken thighs in a large bag with kosher salt, smoked paprika, garlic powder, oregano, and onion powder to coat it in seasonings. Once the air fryer was preheated to 380 degrees Fahrenheit, it was time to cook them. First, I sprayed the baskets with oil and placed the thighs skin-side down for 12 minutes. I then flipped them and cooked them for another 10 minutes. I was impressed by how quickly and easily this recipe came together. The resulting chicken thighs had crispy, well-seasoned skin and juicy, tender meat. I had fun making mozzarella sticks The food blogger quick mozarella-stick recipe calls for light string cheese, Italian breadcrumbs, an egg, and flour, plus marinara sauce for dipping. First, I put my egg, breadcrumbs, and flour in three separate containers. After unwrapping the cheese, I coated it in flour, dipped it in egg, and then breadcrumbs. My favorite part was making sure each stick was perfectly coated in crumbles, which felt therapeutic and oddly satisfying. Then, the cheese sticks needed to be frozen for about an hour so they could firm up before being fried. Once they were done chilling, I popped the sticks into my 400-degree-Fahrenheit air fryer for four minutes, flipped them, and cooked them for another four minutes. These came out cheesy and delicious Some of the cheese ended up oozing out of the breading, especially after I flipped them. Still, they stayed together pretty well and tasted delicious. I also liked dipping the sticks in marinara. The vegan I used is from Allrecipes, and its main ingredients include potato, onion, and corn tortillas. The potato had to be cooked so I could make my filling, so I microwaved it for a bit to try to speed up the process. While the potato cooked, I made the sauce by simmering minced garlic and chopped onion in vegan butter. Next, I mashed my potato and combined it with salt, pepper, almond milk, and the buttery mixture. Then, I put the filling aside and heated my tortillas so I could roll the taquitos up. I heated the tortillas on the grate of a gas stove to make them easily rollable. This was tedious, and I found they could burn quickly if I looked away for even a minute. Once I had my tortilla perfectly heated, I put a spoonful of my inside it and rolled it up. Finally, I put the rolled taquitos in the preheated air fryer at 400 degrees Fahrenheit. After seven minutes, I flipped them, sprayed them with oil, then cooked them for three more minutes. These came out OK but were more work than I'd prefer These taquitos took a little more time to prepare than I'd anticipated. The filling was good and tasted like garlic mashed potatoes, but I would've preferred to eat it without the semi-crunchy tortilla wrapper that almost overpowered its flavor. It's nice that these were vegan, but I almost wish I'd chosen a recipe with meat to add some texture. Even so, the taquitos weren't too hard to make and tasted good enough for a snack. Food blogger makes her with three simple, classic ingredients: bread, cheese, and butter. I buttered one side of each piece of bread, placed cheese inside, then cooked my sandwich in a preheated air fryer at 370 degrees Fahrenheit for four minutes on each side. My sandwich turned out wonderfully cheesy The recipe recommends using toothpicks to hold the bread down, but I didn't have any, so I had to rearrange the bread midway through cooking, as it had blown off. Still, these sandwiches came out cheesy and fabulous — though I could've almost as easily made them in a pan. Each recipe was good enough to try, and I'd probably make all but 2 again I wouldn't cook the pizza or taquitos in the air fryer next time, but everything else felt surprisingly easier to make in the small-but-mighty appliance. The , grilled cheese, eggplant, and mozzarella sticks were all winners — and the chicken thighs took the crown for most filling and worthwhile. Read the original article on
